Thats what annoys me these days, just doing day to day activities uses all the petrol. I remember the days when we could go the beach or go on two hour trips without worrying and having to buy more petrol. Am going out tomorrow and even though i'm not going that far, i will have to stop to put some petrol in. Not been able to stick to my petrol budget for sometime.
Well done on your little pots,i have a sealed tin which i save jan to june then one july to dec. Know i have'nt been as good these last couple of monthes by putting any losechange in my tin.x
Thanks amber, I totally agree with you regarding the petrol. According to the car my driving is more fuel efficient than OH's, so I usually drive and we drive an plan our trips to keep the miles down. OH has been using DS1s car so we've been putting petrol in that car too.
I'm doing OK with the pots, I haven't been tempted/or needed to 'borrow' from them and don't want to bank the money as I'm not sure it would be safe from me spending it!! I think I'm going to use it for Christmas presents.:)

We put £15 petrol in the car yesterday.:(
I've done the meter readings this morning and we are now £140 in credit, so it looks like the gas/elec was £59 for 2 weeks. According to the weather forecast it's going to turn cold again.
I'm back to work tomorrow,OH is off so he's going to take DS1 and DS2 swimming, we've got a money off voucher for swimming.
Going to switch the fridger/freezer back on this morning.....fingers crossed.

Back to work today.:( But today was NSD 5.:)
When I got home the heating was on!! OH said it was freezing in the house, he's been home today and they had been outside and mowed the lawns, weeded the front borders, swept the drive etc etc so I couldn't moan too much. But then he found 2 x 20p's in the change in his pocket and reluctantly put them in the 20p pot.:( One step forward with him...two steps back.
They're off swimming tomorrow, armed with a voucher. I've got some cash spare (not sure where it came from but eh!) so will ask OH to call in and get some frozen veg and bread so we can start to fill the freezer again, a bit at a time just incase.
Bank account will be down to £4.76 when payment goes out to Stepchange on Wednesday...gulp. Roll on Thursday when OH gets paid....although this will be short because he had to have a day unpaid last week because of his hospital visit. Thankfully the other days are back to normal hours.

Roll on the weekend, I'm shattered this week.:(
We ended up putting the heating on last night as the 'in-laws' came round. According to the weather forecast its going to be getting warmer so the heating can stay off now....hopefully!
OH got bits for freezer, milk and bread yesterday......must update spending diary/budget. Freezer still working, good job as still can't log onto 'freecycle'.:(
OH's payday tomorrow.

Yesterday was NSD6.
Today have put £20 petrol in the car....should of put £30 really!
Tonight we had chippie tea.....£6.70:eek:, for 3 ptns chips and 2 sausages.
Also today was the first 'big' payment to Stepchange, £475 , haven't quite worked out how many payments to go!!! Feel quite low about having to pay that amount but at least it's all going in the right direction......down!
OH's wages a bit on the low side (missing a day), but the first 2 weeks of the month are out of the way now, and there are only a few DDs to come out for the rest of the month.
Need to pay childminder (plus extra due to Easter school holidays) and works lottery tomorrow. Also need to do a meal plan/shopping list.

Today we've had the dogs insurance renewal - £202 for the year, gulp!
Also had our roadside assistance cover renewal - £96 for me and DS1. It was only £35 for me last year and then had an offer to add another person for £5, a bit of an increase this year.
OH has had a letter from Akt1v K@p1t@l offering him a fanastic opportunity - 'pay £1170.92 by 30th April and the remaining £130.10 will be cleared. We wish eh!
DS3s swimming lessons due next week - £38 and we are having our haircut too - £25 (for 4 of us).
Me and OH just bimbling along. Nothing has really changed, I'm still dealing with all the money side of things but I'm really trying to change the 'child/adult' relationship that we have developed. We still haven't managed a night out together yet either.
Hope everybody has a great weekend.......and we get some sunshine.
