  • mummy and granny, glad it's not just me then.:rotfl: If we had the spare money I'd send OH off to the pub everytime the football was on, hehehe.

mummy, yeah I agree with you about the egg, it's such a tricky thing all this charity business, anyway its all done now and one less egg I am tempted to eat.;)

brizzle, thank you, not doing too bad on the NSDs,upto 10 now. :)

Today is my Friday and I've finished work for a week and a bit.:j Still got this blooming cold so desperate for some chill out time!

Today was payday and I haven't had time to update spending diary, paid childminder, works lottery and put £30 petrol in the car.

Had a frantic evening, OH had to go to A&E with a problem with his eye, so we dropped DS2 at football training, went to get petrol, football training cancelled so dropped OH at A&E, went back for DS2 then to pick OH up, he had something in his eye but it's glazed over got drops and ointment and got to go back tomorrow. OH and DS2 decided they only wanted a snack so ended up in McD's, very naughty and not very MSE either!!!

Heating was off today as we were out this evening.

Freezer still not freezing...gggrrrr, meal plan totally out of the window. House is an absolute disgrace, ironing piled high in dining room table, kitchen floor has got muddy paw/foot prints all over it, but you know what I'm going to go to bed early and tackle it all tomorrow.

One more thing for DS1 to go to America on the scholarship programme 'we' would need to pay approx £2K to cover agents fees, insurance, visas, he needs a new passport and that is without any top up to his college fees. Going to sleep on this one.:(

Catch up on everyone's diaries tomorrow. xx

  • It's great to see some sunshine this morning.:) Still fresh out there though!

It looks like our fridge freezer has stopped working, well the freezer part of it anyway. It's nowhere near as cold as it has been in the garage and its still not freezing anything. Mentioned it to my Mom this morning and she's all for us just 'going out to get a new one',:o mentioned that OH might know somebody that's got one going 'spare'......the lies, the lies. :( We have a fridge in the kitchen so it's not desperate, desperate just inconvenient

Still feel rough (look rough too!!:D) but have got some jobs done this morning and OH is cleaning the inside of the car. Then he's talking about checking out the chimney pot, don't like him getting on the roof though.:(

I've got a non-payer on fleabay from last weekend, must send another email today.

    Right must crack on! xx

  • Hi Alice am popping up to say have read your diary from the beginning you are doing so well. Just a thought, freecycle is a great way to come across second hand freezers. It might be worth looking online to see if there is one in your area. You can then join the group and post a wanted ad. I think to do that you may have to give something away first but each group has its own rules. Good luck :T

Morning Alice, just catching up with diaries and I totally agree with Arsenalbarnie. Freecycle is a good place to look for a freezer. I gave loads of stuff away when I moved house 2 years ago, including a fridge freezer, piano and furniture. There's some real good stuff out there where folk like me don't have time to try to sell stuff or space to keep it due to moving home etc.
I was giving my chest freezer away as I moved to a house without a garage and a small kitchen but my OH claimed it before I got to freecycle it. There were a couple on my local freecycle site the other week. If you are using freecycle though, get in quick. They go like hot cakes!
    Good luck x

  • Thanks pixnmix & arsenalbarnie, I've tried to sign up to our local group but it's says there's a problem with the CAPTCHA's, the alternative is to have an email sent, then it says undeliverable to that email address (have tried 2 email addresses). Not sure if its our laptop. :( Will try on parents computer when we visit over weekend.

mummy - OH eye is still bad, got to go back on tomorrow, but the ebay payer has paid...phew. :)

  • I had a lovely afternoon with my Mom and her friend....it was a cross between going out with 'Hinge & Bracket' and 'Driving Miss Daisy'........if you get my drift ;):D. Still lots of laughter but I was worn out when I got back. LOL.

Went to sburys whilst we were out (forgot list, big mistake!). Need to update spending diary/budget.

I plan on pegging the sheets out today, I haven't pegged out all week!:D.......they'll probably be frozen stiff when I get back, hehe.

DS2 going to watch local team play football with his mates, cost inc bus, £8.

Me, OH and DS1 are off to deliver Easter Eggs (really pleased with myself that I didn't eat any of the eggs we'd bought:)). Whilst we are out need to get a new vent cover for outside, we also needs a new bulb for oven.

OH didn't get on the roof yesterday, he's still got a problem with his eye so decided it could wait. Will get some quotes as it looks like part of the actual chimney might need re-doing as well as the pot replacing.

Update on pots 20p pot upto £39.40 and £2 pot upto £56.00.

    Have a great weekend.xx
