  • Back to the money side of things.:)

I have tried to speak to the water company tonight about the options of changing to a water meter. After pressing various numbers and been put on hold for 10minutes I gave up, all I wanted to do was talk to a human!!! Will try again tomorrow.

Had 2 letters from Bcard today, both with the same date on. One said that under the agreement we would undertake a 12month review of the repayment arrangements..........and the other one said that as they hadnt heard from me regarding a review they assumed everything was still the same and to carry on as agreed. Mr Bcard you answered your own letter there!!

OH gets paid tomorrow, will need to get petrol. Also pay the usual, childminder, lottery and we need some food stuff.

  • Well I've just about met myself coming backwards tonight......left work, picked DS3 up from childminders, picked OH up from home, dropped OH at football meeting, got petrol, picked DS2 up from home (he wasn't there when I picked OH up), dropped him off at footie, went to sburys, took DS3 to McD's, picked DS2 up, dropped them both and the shopping at home, DS1 came back and then I've just been and fetched OH...phew :rotfl:

Tonight I put £30 petrol in the car, spent £49 in sburys. Tomorrow DS3 going to barbers, need to deliver nephews b'day card (need to put £10 in) tomorrow too.

Managed to peg out today.:) Now I've the biggest pile of ironing ever!! Must check how ebay stuff is doing, it's been a busy week haven't had chance.

Looking forward to the weekend, hope we don't get snow tomorrow.xx

Hello Alice, sorry to hear you and OH are having troubles at the moment and hoping things sort themselves out soon. Can't offer much advice as I am no relationship expert, as my stories will show but do think time together as just a couple to talk is a step in the right direction.

Despite OH and I living alone, I'm thinking of suggesting date nights, even if they are done at home, where no sport, computers or phones are allowed to get in the way of talking

  • Oh Mrs PG I'm in training for the washing and ironing Olympics, it's just never ending. All sport cancelled for the weekend so hopefully we can have a quieter weekend and save some petrol.:)

Thanks granny, I'm hopeful we can work it out, altough haven't seen OH much this week. I think a date night is a great idea. Not quite a date night but we used to have 2 nights in the week where there was no TV, it was great...and don't get me started on sport. The footie game is currently on 3 TV's in house, not very MSE.

  • We have snow. :( We hadn't had the heating from Mon - Thurs, although it had been cold we'd be out and about in the evenings but tonight we've had it on but the house still seems cold....gggrrr

Our chimney pot has broken, we found part of it on the garden and when OH came home tonight there was some more on the lawn. Glad it landed our side and not next door. OH will get the ladders out when the weather is better and have a look.

OH called in HBs today and treated us to their '8 creme eggs for £1'....I've eaten 2 already. ooops!

  • We've had lots of snow this morning.:(

Have updated spending diary/budget this morning. So far this month we have spent £259 on food (really pleased with this), £115 on petrol, but we've put £30 petrol in DS1s car as OH has been using it.

    Update on pots - £2 pot upto £46, 20p pot upto £30.80.

Hope you enjoyed the cream eggs, I'm not fussed on them, tad too sweet. I like just chocolate really, no frills

Oh Alice, just catching up with your diary. Big hug re the relationship problems. Money is a real brick wall in relationships sometimes but lovely to know that you are working towards resolving both the lack of money and the difficulties between you.
Keep smiling and looking to the future.

By the way, do you know if the friends who invited you to go on holiday are totally solvent with no worries? We only know what others want us to. They may be in a similar position. Life isn't always as rosy on the inside :)
