Normally the first weekend in December and down around the 27th/28th. I let my children decorate the tree so it always looks fab :)

My tree will be up on 1st December, or soon after, and will come down on 12th night.

I let my kids pass me the decorations for the tree.Does that count? :p I'm mean and very OCD about the tree in the living room.I space out the ornaments and the colours etc and get very antsy if it looks wrong:o
So we have a tree in the playroom they can stick all the stuff they make at school on and a tree in each of their bedroom that they plonk their barbie/disney baubles and wonky tinsel on.That way everyone gets a turn :)

A week to 10 days before christmas here, depending on where the weekend falls.

I take it that those of you who put them up at the begining of December don't have real trees? Mine would be bare by christmas day if I put it up that soon.

A lot of people here put theirs up on the day when the lights get switched on in the town centre, which is mid-november and too early for me. We do it at some point mid-December.

The kids decorate the tree, I really couldn't care less what it looks like as long as it has lights - I love 'the snowman' christmas tree, the lights look so cosy :D

I have been eyeing up baubles in Marks and Spencer this year, they are glass balls with glitter/confetti inside, ever so pretty!

Must admit I'd be really bored if the tree went up in november ... it would lose the 'magic'.

in my house it goes up the weekend before christmas day. The kids are all grown up and have kids of thier own.
When the kids were small I used to put the tree up on thier last full day of school before they broke up for christmas. but left it bare for them to decorate when they came home from school.

I dont get this putting the decorations and tree up as soon as bonfire night is over. or in once case I noticed they went up after halloween!
I am not OCD about cleaning - but how the heck can you get the house properly clean with all the decorations etc up?

Not going to bother with it this year. I live on my own and it seems like a waste of time.

I suppose it's because it's dark, rainy autumn and the lights look pretty and cosy.
