  • Way way too early.

Goes up about a week or two into December then comes down just after New Years Day.

My sister in law put hers up today. Silly fool, she treats it like a competition! Same every year, first one moaning that they are getting on her nerves by the time people are just starting to think about getting their decs up!
  • Ours goes up the 1st of December and I can't wait already!

It's a real family thing at our house, we all get involved decorating the tree.
Well I say involved...........I let the OH and DS decorate one side and I do the other, then turn it around when they're not looking. Messy side facing the wall, pretty side on show for all to see :D

Second Sunday in Dec, an down on New Years' Day :)
  • Second weekend in December for us. We make a day of it - go choose the tree, chop it down and decorate it whilst drinking mulled wine (and more recently watching x factor!). Then, when everyone else has gone to bed I redecorate it so it's colout co-ordinated and evenly spread. I just can't help that!

It stays up until Jan 5th, although by then I'm cursing all the needles on the carpet.

Our tree goes up the weekend after the Christmas Coke ad airs and it's back down again on the 27th. It's just not Christmas until that ad airs. One f our neighours has had their tree up since before Halloween!
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
  • We are not pagans so we don't have one ;)

  • We've not had one ourselves - we spend Christmas with my parents, and don't put decorations up in our own place. My parents put theirs up a few days before Christmas, and take it down on 5th January.

I take a day off in the last week of term and do everything while they are at school so they get a nice surprise when they come home :)

and I can be anal and put everything in the correct place :o

    That made me giggle :)

We tend to put the decorations up together and I let DS and DD put the decorations on the tree, wherever they want.

The next day, when they're at school, I rearrange them to exactly how I want ;).
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?
