I wouldn't bother but as my partner likes to have a proper Christmas I'll just do it whenever she starts dropping hints.0

I think I'm a scrooge, as I get sick of the Christmas tree really quickly. Ours goes up the weekend before Christmas Day, and is always down before New Years Day (mainly because we usually go away for a few days over New Year and I can't face the thought of coming back home to the sorry sight of it still up) I couldnt bear having it up from the first week in December much less the first weekend of November.
For stocking fillers at that age, try Hawkins Bazaar for cheap and cheerful little bits which are a little unusual and which most kids love

First weekend in December- I love the antipation of Christmas more than anything, so like to have it up early but it wouldn't feel right to put it up before the start of the month it occurs in. However, we always take it down on 27th Dec- not because we are sick of it, just because in my eyes Christmas is over by then, New Year is a separate event and to me it seems strange having a Christmas tree up for it. Plus when you take the tree and decs down its easier to have a big clean up.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0

DEFINATLEY not in November! I always wonder why people would even consider it!
We normally put ours up 1st or 2nd weekend of December, depending on our schedule.0 -
Our tree will go up mid December and will be down again before New Year.
I think if you put it up too early it looses some of the magic and you get bored / too used of it.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0 -
Always the first weekend in December!
