morning just catching up and kicking myself we should have rang inverness football club yesterday and got them to announce rory was missing at half time , never crossed my mind till i was watching the news
  • Hi I have never joined a forum but have been checking in here as it's the easiest place to find out if Ruaridh has been found.
This is my second attempt to post so I apologise if a similar reply from me pops up at some point.
I haven't read the whole thread so I may be repeating something already said.

Have you spoken to Joe - he's always at the river feeding the ducks and swans with his lab Millie. I can't post links as I am new...- his blogspot is simplysuperbswans Also Sean - the Nairn Birder
One final suggestion is Moravian Orienteers - they often have events and training at Culbin.

I wish I was around to help but I am away working at the mo - but my husband walks his mum's dog at Kingsteps most days and he has his eyes peeled.

Best of luck with the search and I hope he comes home soon.

Have you got posters at Broadley and Greens? My husband did not see any posters when he went to the Nairn County Match yesterday.
  • Just checking in and sending hugs.
I also wanted to say that years ago our dog got out , was clipped by a car and ran off at the speed of light. We searched everywhere and then just by chance my Aunty found him outside some shops about a mile away. He was still really frightened by his experience which may be why he was still 'on the run'.

Hi Oyster Catcher, I was sure that a work colleague had taken some there for them to put up. I'll get onto that. I go down Kingsteps regularly, thought he might be down there at one point but couldn't find him. I've given out flyers to whomever I've met down there.

Never heard of Sean the birder. I've only been here 20 years, so probably not 'in the know' :)

I know George- the guy who does all the Maggots/harbours/ riverside bins etc knows about him. It was him that thought he'd been down the harbour in the early stages.

Again, thanks for new leads everyone :)

    Hi almond.
I found this link to the Caledonian Thistle supporters club. There's a forum on there which looks pretty well populated at first glance, so that might be worth a try. Wishing you all the best xx

Just had the coastguard at the door, saying they're out at the harbour and the river today looking. They're going to come back later and let me know any news, good, bad or none.

    Just so kind of them

The coastguard will know the best places to look. I so hope they can come back with some good news. It's about time you had some, that's for sure.

.... We thought if they found him, old dog-more begging power....

In fairness to the homeless, it's rarely for money purposes that they would take a dog under their wing - a dog is companionship, warmth, affection and, if found as a wanderer, a kindred spirit, even.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
