Who would think to look for a dog on a lead, a pet with an owner.
Funny you should say that Pad. My grand-daughters mother saw a dog tied up outside Sainsburys and ran over and grabbed him- thought it was Ruars and someone had taken him in, then taken him to the supermarket. It wasn't, but it shows you how it's affected everyone. (I've got to say she's my dog sitter and I don;t know what I'd have done without her)
Many people have said that they have looked suspiciously at folk with dogs on leads thinking it's Ruars.Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If someone has taken him in then they will have to walk him at some point so hopefully with all the coverage he has had, someone will spot him.£2019 in 2019 challenge:£50/2019

Hi Sazz, have you tried further afield, like Aberdeenshire? These people may have seen Ruaridh: http://www.mrsmurrays.co.uk/ or give some more pointers as to where you could look.
I'm sure you have looked already, but perhaps he is sheltering in Culbin forest? I have my fingers crossed for you and him and so hope he returns home.0 -

Do you have rough sleepers up there? (it's a bit colder up your way than down here)
If so, perhaps whoever does the soup kitchen/advice thingies might know whether someone homeless has found/acquired an old dog recently, particularly as they would probably be trying to get hold of food for the dog now - bones from the butcher, etc.
It tends to be Churches down here.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
There are runners in Culbin all the time, and they're always on the lookout. A lot of folk walk their dogs there too.
Nairn itself up to around Inverness don't have homeless people but I think there's a few in Inverness down by the river. A couple of work colleagues from the Inverness office have been down there a couple of times just to see if someone has picked up the old boy. We thought if they found him, old dog-more begging power.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know there were homeless people in Inverness until now. They don't sleep in doorways, and I've never seen any begging when I've been there, so never even thought about it.
I've looked that Mrs Murrays gallery, and I'll give it a call in the morning (if it's open on Sunday). I've learnt more than I want to know about the amount of neglected, unwanted and lost animals this past fortnight. There's so many, it's heartbreaking.Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11.
