  • Yup, that was the one I saw .....

Hang on, I'll have a look - I'm sure there's a train from Gatwick to Euston (but am a bit rusty on London)

I want to just give up now

Was hoping for some good news - been following the thread since almost day one.

Just wanted to say don't give up, you're stronger than that. Sean will be home before you know it (((Sazzy))).

    Take care x

He needs to get a First Capital train from Gatwick to St Pancras then an underground one stop on the Victoria line or the northern to Euston. Its doable if very tight.
  • It goes to London Victoria - it's pretty close to Euston

Leaves Gatwick every 15 mins & takes about 1/2 hour to Victoria ....

  • Aileen, what about the bus?

I know it's not as comfortable but there's one from Gatwick (8:50) to Inverness - would save loads of hassle with trying to get across London (but would take slightly longer)

another lurker here. Easyjet have a flight at 08.05 tomorrow Gatwick to Aberdeen arriving 09.45. A bit further for you for picking up, but he would be home earlier than 3 or trains from Dyce at 10.23 and 12.08, use airlink bus, route 80 between airport and rail station.
Did a double take when walking my dog as an older black labrador (on a lead) went past.

This post isn't about Ruars, but me cursing life in general.

Sean is/was due home at 9ish at Inverness airport. His flight from Kuala Lumpur was late getting in and it's not looking like he's going to make the flight from Gatwick to Inverness. He's called them and they've said they'll TRY get him on but they can't guarantee it. So looks like he could be spending the night in Gatwick and the next flight back isn't until 3pm tomorrow afternoon!

If he doesn't mke that flight, I don't know what we'll do. I've held out for the past fortnight for him coming home, and now..

Sorry for ranting but I just needed him here.

Dammit- he's just text me and said the traffic is horrendous in London and he's not going to make it across London. I'm about to phone Flybe and ask for options. Really worried now
You poor baby, if anyone needs a love and cuddle it's you tonight.
  • Ahhhhhhh, internet on the blink again - why do I always have problems on a Sunday night?

In case I get cut off again, really hoping you managed to get something worked out & Sean's home very soon

Thanks teacake. I've just looked at the times, and there's 10 minute leeway. How long does it take to get from Euston train station to the bus station?

ETA- ignore that- it's all trains..

I've looked at that link Rising, and it leaves Victoria at 2300, so much more do-able (and affordable)

Ruars- please forgive me for hijacking your thread old man, I just want your daddy home xx
