I know Walwin. So am I. Wouls have loved nothing better than taking the old boy with me to the airport to greet his daddy.

But, as 4nna said, maybe this is just the beginning. It really looked hopeless there for a while, as it does now with Ruars-but it turned out right.

Hopefully, he'll hear Sean shouting on him, as we're going to walk up the river as far as we can-and show himself.

No news from the coastguard- but that's maybe a good thing? I was fully prepared for them to say they'd found him, but not in a good way.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

Well, no news is good news I suppose. No reports of any accidents, so it definitely has to be the case that someone's taken him in.

A lot of people think they're doing a stray dog a favour by NOT calling the dog warden in case the dog gets put down.

When you go out with Sean tomorrow it will be like starting the search afresh with new ideas that just might bring Ruaridh home.

Does Sean have any time off before he goes back to work?

No- he's back on Tuesday. He only started that job 6 months ago, we used to work in the same place, so didn't want to push it when they asked at the interview if he had any holidays planned. he's been off since 27th October.

But- at least it's another set of eyes, lungs and fingers to cross. I'm just about to go to the airport now to fetch him. Worried I'll buckle when I see him. Hope not, I haven't cried this much in a long long time as what I have the past 15 days.

    xx

You're entitled to a good cry if you want one! I'm sure Sean will totally understand. You've been very strong and the strain must have been immense. You'll feel better when you see him.

My OH is used to me holding it all together when things go wrong until he gets home! He has had more wet shirt fronts and shoulders than I care to remember!

I know you won't see this until you get home, sazzy, but I'm so glad that Sean will be home tonight. Well done that airline!
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

This might be a daft idea, but have you thought of using bicycles? You might cover more ground than walking, but not miss things you'd miss if driving. (don't bother to reply, just thinking aloud again).

Glad to hear your husband is coming home, I hope he brings a change of luck with him too. Fingers crossed here for you all.
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.

Hiya, can't read the entire thread as its so huge, but I live in Aberdeen, but have family in Drumnadrochit and she runs a animal sanctuary (but for abandoned rabbits/gps/repitles) no facilities for dogs, but, she probably knows a lot of people/connections, so could pass on the details if you want?

(not even sure if that area is near where the wee toot went missing though)

Actually just saw the FB page and your profile and you are a friend with her (lol)

I live beside the murrays cat & dog home though, and I do know they have had dogs from shetlands recently, so you never know he might turn up here :)

Thanks Button, I check Mrs Murrays page every day as well to see what she's got in-just in case someone's picked him up and dumped him that far away.

There's also one in Grantown and I look at that too. It's so heartbreaking to see how many unwanted dogs there are but heratwarming to see these people who take them in until they find a forever hom.

I dodn't know what I expected this morning, but when I took Bruce out for his morning wee, I looked up the street half expecting a big black shape to be trotting up the hill :( I'll be doing the rounds of the Dog Wardens and vets again at 9. And of course, we'll both be out searching most of the day.

The bikes are a great idea, but unfortunately, the only one we have is my youngest sons, and it's been sitting out the back, not moving for about 3 years. Next doors hedge has grown round and through it. I kept on saying I wanted one for myself, just one of these things I never got round to.
