Morning Sazzy ... I just wanted to let you know im still checking in daily and hoping for good news, and im also still checking daily to see if anyone has posted on the internet that they have a found a dog that fits Rory's description using all the search engines I can think of, and not just Google.

I wonder how many dog rescue/rehoming centres there are in the UK, as I feel I want to email them all, and it might not end up being as big a task as im imagining ... If I can find the time, I might just try and find out how many there really is.

Ive been feeling very sad this week, as I saw a poor little dog drown on Tuesday .. The owner hasn't been able to find him and we are trying to think of ways to help her recover him as she wants closure ... So Sad :(
Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.

sazzy I know this isn't for everyone and if you think it's a load of garbage then ignore the suggestion, but had you considered maybe trying a clairvoyant?

I know they are generally not well thought of in RL as well as on MSE but after reading loads about how the Police in America actually have people signed up to help with cases where they are getting nowhere, and the results they got, I'm kinda thinking there might just be something in it. :undecided

Radio 2 are reading out requests if you pledge money to Children In Need..... I wonder if they would read out a request to look for Rory?

    I'd certainly pledge a fiver.
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

    Brilliant idea, count me in.

I have been speaking to a lady who has given me some good advice to share.

Start from scratch, go back to the places our Rory was last seen. Search in a triangular area, dogs tend to go from A to B to C when they’re lost.

Don’t shout your dog’s name anxiously, he won’t recognize the tone of your voice. Call as you would normally.

He just might be nearer to home than we think (she said)
RIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts xxx

Thanks Lazza, happy you found your girl :)

Posted this on FB a while ago, so you've probably all seen it. I went out for a walk with Bruce after it because I was taking Chris's advice and starting at the beginning again. Also just felt a bit...well you know by now..

Bit of a heart stopping moment there. Got a call from Linda from lostdogs-scotland.org.uk , and she had information that an old black lab had been found in Forres. Called the Dog Warden- no answer (just for a bloody change),called the vets, and the DW had brought in an elderly black lab during the week...but it was female, and had been taken to Brumley Brae-a kennels in Elgin (whom you remember I called a few times last week, AND people went round there). Called Moray animal services, and they said every dog that comes in they ask if it's Ruars (so that's sweet) Called Brumlae- and he didn't know what I was talking about (again-even though the vet AND the DW office told me about the lab had gone there)..Anyway, searching goes on.

Glad Sean's home on Sunday night, means I can do so much more looking.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

im not being funny, but have you actually seen this black lab that was supposedly found and could not someone have made a mistake and it is actually a male.i know its clutching at straws, but someone has got their knickers in a twist somewhere and it all seems a bit funny somehow ?
