Rising, don't you feel guilty in the slightest! You have your own pain to deal with just now.

Thank you for taking the time to post

almond, please keep it down.My daughter's been staying, she's left now, and although I've had a peek, I'm not up to speed on the thread. I saw the huge print, and assumed he was home. Oh my, did my heart sink.
Please leave the jubilation until he's back. It does my nerves no good at all.

I agree with dirtysexymonkey that any correspondence should be short and to the point, no one reads beyond two paragraphs. A human interest story being paramount.

I don't know of sazz's history, only that her DH is in OZ visiting relies, and has two boys serving abroad in the army, but where? A war zone would create a good story, Belize wouldn't.

The two serving soldiers can do a great deal though. They can, through whatever means tell their various Scottish regiments and therefore their families, to look out for the big R.

How's about doing something along the lines of what was done for ( I think ) Lennox, people making posters and holding them up preferably with a dog beside it, taking a picture and posting it on the facebook page or wherever it can be posted.

Have you looked again sazz in the area of the wagging dog? I bet you feel defeated, but hundreds of people are searching, whether physically or by other means. Not one of them though will mean more to the big R, than the sound of your voice.

I have Padstow, and that whole town /village is on alert as well.

You're rifght about the defeated feeling. My stomach sinks every time I have to leave there, as if I'm betraying him somehow. It's not a nice feeling.

I'm still convinced we will see him come home sazzy. One way or another. Padstow, it's a good idea that the serving soldiers, sazzy's boys, can do something. What about them posting on an Army forum? There must be loads of online Army websites, newsletters etc. that could be targeted.

The papers might run a story on the lines of "Serving soldier brothers' dog missing since bonfire night" and sazzy could be interviewed saying the boys are devastated, and gutted because they're serving overseas and can't get home to help the hundreds of people who are searching for their beloved dog" that sort of thing?

"Heroes Lose Their Hound - please help to find him." Is that a catchy enough headline? Would the lads be able to give a quote, is there a photo of them with Ruaridh?

That'd be great. Where are they serving sazzy? Would they be allowed to give a quote? If not you could do it for them.
