  • Just a quick one - I got my Lab from Labrador rescue - there are a few up and down the country - might be worth dropping them a line in case someone let them know about a stray lab - Just an idea !! xx Big hugs xx

You could also try posting on labradorforums.co.uk. They have a lost and found section and lab rescues from around the country use the forum.

Had a reply from Stuart Crowther at STV to say his remit is stricly only Moray, but he has passed it to Highlands (although they are Aberdeen-centric). Said he'd like to help but doesn't see what he can do. I replied to say thanks for reading it and please keep him in mind if you know anybody who's travelling to Nairn or nearby, ask them to keep an eye out. As someone else has said, the media really want a story to hang this on, a lost dog just isn't enough for them, sadly.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but have the petrol stations been postered in a 10 mile radius? (don't feel the need to reply, I'm just thinking aloud as it were). I keep thinking about how far he got last time.
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.

One of the lost dog websites says if all else fails, try to get the media onside, but they won't just do a "Lost Dog" story. It says "be prepared to have a cheesy picture taken, if you have another pet, of yourself and the other pet gazing mournfully at the picture of the lost dog.Say the other pet is pining/not eating or whatever."

While this doesn't sound all that right to me, if it helps get Ruaridh home it will be worth a go. The papers need a story really, and sadly a lost dog angle on it's own isn't enough.

Anyone got any ideas that might make more of a story to spark the interest of the national press?
