The PM I sent you with contact emails were for gereral UK wide dogs lost, the ones I sent you via PM - did you contact them?

The main one interlinks and corssposts with the other anyway.. pity I did not know earlier, we could have his advert up on both by now.....

Did you post on Dogpages? If not i'd be happy to on your behalf if it'd help. Quite often when a dog goes awol many members who live locally will organise a search group & tirelessly look for the dog. I do hope he returns quickly. I'd call all Vets within a huge radius also & any rescues like the RSPCA (SSPCA for you??)

Just off to walk Chaya but will keep checking back in case I can help you with DP posts. Hopefully he will make his way home today x

beebs came in at about half past five, he could hear noises he couldnt explain by the look on his face and the position of his ears, he wasnt scared, just a bit confused so he went upstairs to bed

Thank you everyone, I'm sat in tears at the kindness shown by everyone.

I posted on Lost dogs-Scotland, and DogsLost. They said they have to review the content first, so hopefully soon.

Never heard of dogpages Tiger. I did phone the SSPCA, but they said that unless he was injured, they couldn't do anything and to keep in contact with the police- they didn't even take his details. I'm going to call back when they open (only getting an answering machine message just now saying to call an emergency vet if an animal is injured)

Left messages on the vtes service as well, and going to call the police back.

Now, everyone- please DON'T be offended by what I'm about to say. I will look for him tirelessly today, but at 2am this morning, a cold feeling went rgiht through me, and I got a feeling I wouldn't see him again. I'm hoping it's just the tiredness talking. It's just been SO cold outside, car is frozen solid-how on earth can he survive out in this? He's 11 and used to being cosied up with us. Sorry for being so negative. I just can't seem to stop wailing like an idiot!:(

Aww huggs. Would you like me to post on DP? It's a forum used by rescues all over the country & there's a chatter & missing section too, when others have gone awol people will do everything to try to help. There have been old dogs go awol in the winter before in minus temperatures found safe & well so please keep hoping. With people out & about for firework displays maybe someone has taken him in for the night & given him a warm bed, i'm online now so yell if you want a post doing. Wish I were nearer or drove i'd come help

That'd be great, thank you- the only problem I have is sending images though, I couldn't do it earlier on for gettingready.

I'm posting and reposting on FB about him. The police said that the other dogs haven't been found either yet..hope they're all snuggled together-and they were just going out on their rounds again and were going to keep a look out.

Will do now, what area are you? Is he castrated? Any identifying marks? Also try radio stations, many will announce he is missing for you x
