Oh sazzy, Im so sorry to hear about your dog. Please update us. xxx
My little border isnt usually bothered at all by storms or fireworks (by OH says after living rough as a stray on the mean streets of Manchester, he probably got used to drive by shootings!) But tonight it seemed like we were in a war zone, the rugby club one end of the lane, the local park the other - Ralph was unable to settle and kept getting under my legs all the time and that set off little border terrier aswell. He didnt know why he should be frightened, but as the other one was ................. I do wish they would ban these things.0 -
Fingers and toes crossed for you, sazzybum - I hope your dog returns safe and sound soon.
My 5 cats were ok with it all, but it's not too bad where I am. The three moggies have heard it all before and slept through it all. The two Bengal kittens took a bit more notice, but weren't overly stressed. I am very lucky I guess0 -

I've been in touch with the police-in fact he was last seen near the police station, but they couldn't catch him. They said that this is the third report tonight of the same thing.. Bl00dy fireworks! We don't have dog wardens here (In Nairn-Highlands). I did contact the SSPCA, but they wouldn't even take his details saying that they only deal with injured animals, wouldn't take a description or anything.
We didn't get him chipped when we got the rest done as he was 10 at the time, and the vets stresses him so much..I'm totally kicking myself now, how stupid can I be? I could leave a message with the vet, as they only have an answering machine, but I'll do that-thanks.
I just want my old boy home:(Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

you aren't stupid at all, sazzybum. The size of the microchipping needle is very large and if you have a nervous animal and the needle slips, there is a risk of serious harm. Please don't blame yourself.0 -

Thanks gr.. It's my 11 year old dog.. all my cats were lying on my bed not caring about the bangs at all, neither was the puppy.
I've just been on to the police again, and they've had a change of shift since my original report, and no one had passed on the details..well they've got them again. I can't even go out in the car to look for him because he could have went one way- which is thick woodland, or the other- which is a 7 mile long beach, neither accesible by car.
Again thanks for your support, and your generosity JojoRuaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Dog - tried to get under my computer chair.....
Doesn't sound so bad.
Until you realise Zara's head alone is too big to fit under a computer chair.....I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Yup.... You gonna see for yourself, soon enough. Pls bring a gas mask though, she stinks and SHE loves it0

Did the tv in living room and DS room on loud, and radio on in kitchen... kinda worked
Perry the pup has been quite fretful, been handing out treats, then he wants to go out, i open the back door, he goes out and runs back in, i step out and stand there he pops out and has a wee and runs back in but wants my constant attention (i'm trying to do my bookkeeping homework)
Cat 1 Gizmo was no where to be seen so i am shaking the treat box out the kitchen door calling his name, nothing... turned around he is sat on kitchen chair giving me a look of you stupid girl.
Cat 2 Georgie (her first year) curled up in the dog basket..
both cats a little later decided to go out and sit under table in garden, but i haven't locked down the dog flap since 2 nights ago when gizmo made smelly in the litter box in the kitchen and it stank, bagged it up and took it outside in garden calling dog for his very late night pee, and both cats dived out (1am) but thursday night the odd firework saw georgie running in.
Cats are like whatever...
Perry the big wuss...0 -
