PO, and Friday- it's great to have your support whether you post or not. You have always been there since the start and I appreciate it ever so much. Thank you

Kinski- you took the thought from my head. I was going to go to Munlochy tomorrow to see if they had maybe missed him somehow. Thank you for that x

I've just been down the road the lady said she saw a lab, but much calling and walking with a torch later- there was no sign. As I said she didn't even know if it was him, just saw the eyes in the beam of her headlights- and there was no photo in the Courier today. But I still had to check- and by the time I got down there- there were three other people down there searching thanks to the group.

How can I possibly repay everyone, no matter what the outcome?
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Agree with the above, i've seen it said that a description given by the owner may not match the one the rescue/pound has although with his fatty lump etc he does seem pretty distinctive to me anyway. Please remember my own dog was a stray for about a week & wouldn't let anyone approach her - she's also very friendly - and she managed to survive just fine in the cold weather so i'm sure he will too. I really can't think where else to suggest but will keep my eye on forums & keep thinking of him, if I do think of anywhere else i'll post x

I just want to give a huge round of applause to everyone that is out there searching and people on here that are still coming up with new ideas, the help and support is just wonderful :T Amazed at Network Rail calling to let you know they have been looking for him, that is just wonderful and shows what a great job you have all done to get the word out there. It is all amazing and heartwarming.

Everytime I see a new post I hope it is the one that says your boy is back home Sazzy, I can't believe this nightmare is still ongoing for you. Poor wee Bruce must be so confused too with all the coming and going at strange times of the day.

    Sending hugs.

Just been thinking...Rory's actually a labrador cross, isn't he? My own dog is, too, but not everyone recognises that. When I registered him with the vet, he commented that he thought my dog had some staffie in him (he's actually a first cross between a labrador and whippet). And my other dog was described by Dog's Tust as a golden retriever cross, but most people say she looks like a labrador cross.

What I'm saying is, what if he's been taken to a rescue centre or dog warden and they don't recognise the labrador cross, and have him, but listed as a different breed, or just as a mongrel or crossbreed, or retriever cross? Anyone you speak to on the phone may not have seen the posters with his picture.

Is it worth asking if they have any large black dogs brought in since bonfire night, rather than the labrador cross?

Really hoping the latest sighting comes good though!

Good point Zaksmum, lots of people may not realise he's Lab x, it's obvious to me he has Lab in him but anyone not so up on dogs may well have no idea. I'm also thinking maybe he will be taken to a vet if someone is concerned about his lump & not knowing what it is, maybe he will turn up at one soon x

If we can find an e-mail addy for Martin maybe we should all bombard him for help lol i'm sure he has influence in high places!

Thanks yet again everyone. The kennels have been asked if they had any black dogs at all, as we were conscious of his mixed heritage, but apart from a Border Collie a couple of days ago- they haven't had anything.

He's not been trained to the whistle- he's not really trained in anything except jumping on the sofa after a dip in the river, slobbering, eating or jumping on the bed and snoozing on my clean work clothes :o

I'm just back again, this time another nice woman phoned me saying her and her friend had seen 'something' under a caravan yesterday at the caravan park. She thinks it was a dog, but wasn't sure what colour or breed. Still we went down (me and Bruce- and you're right Matty, he's not a happy puppy) and shone a torch under every caravan in the area she directed me to. There was nothing there, but I'll still go down in the morning.

At least Brucie isn't as scared of the dark as he was- and even though he runs when I pick up the car keys, he's not being as sick as he was in the car anymore- must be getting used to it now.
