  • Don't think BBC do split regional broadcasts in Scotland (we get Reporting Scotland which seems to cover the whole of Scotland).

I know STV have split regional news bulletins but no idea of how this works (north & central maybe?) - will have a hunt around and see if I can find anything when I get a minute.

Grocery deliveries to rural areas is hit and miss ..... only recently got them here & we're only 30 miles from Edinburgh!

  • Sazzy would you come under Moray?

Found this: http://local.stv.tv/moray/ - you can "add a story"

The other option near you was Aberdeenshire http://local.stv.tv/aberdeenshire/ but think it may be a bit far away?

Wonder if Martin could get something on tv? I know he's a money expert but surely he knows people in the right places? No idea how to contact him though but surely he's aware of this dog by now! I just can't see him not being found soon, it seems all of Scotland know. If he travels as far as the East Midlands i'll be waiting for him!

Was just taking Brucie out for his little walk -not far because it's dark, and a lady called saying she had seen a lab an hour ago on one of the beach front roads. She couldn't be certain it was Ruars as she only saw the eyes, and didn't realise until she saw the Courier that one was missing.

Threw Bruce in the car and went down there, but no sign. Called him and looked for him in the pitch dark (poor Bruce was terrified) but nothing.

It's quite a busy part of town though, so I don't know if it was him. Got to check every lead though eh.

ETA- I'm in the Grampian/Highland region I think, but not Moray
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Phone all the shelters you can think of to see if they have picked him up, someone may have called in a stray dog. Could you organise a leaflet drop nearby where the lady thought she saw a lab? Or put up a few missing posters in the area too (I'm not sure if you need permission for this). Not everyone gets a local paper or social networks websites.

Wonder if Asda/Tesco/Sainsbury's delivery drivers could drop some leaflets to customers too? Can't hurt to ask?

Thank you Merlot, we've called all the kennels within a 40 mile radius (between me, friends and chris/tj) and they all have my details, although we phone them regularly.
We have dropped leaflets down there- it's near the swimming pool, and a great dog walking site- and there's posters up down there- she was in her car so couldn't see very well., but thank you.

Tiger, one of my colleagues mums work in Sainsburys and they wouldn't let her put a poster up, so I don't know if they'd let drivers do that. But I can only ask eh?

    Thank you xx

Sazzy, I haven't posted much as I just can't be any practical help from so far away, I don't even know anyone in Scotland.

Just wanted to let you know I' still thinking of you and Ruaridh and probably so are many others who are reading every day and hoping for the best.

I've read the whole thread and I really hope your lad is home with you soon.
Have you or someone who knows him gone to the rescue centres to check, I've heard quite a few times on different forums how despite reporting a dog as being lost and being told by the rescues that they would get in touch, occasionally dogs have slipped through the net and have been in the rescue all along. I know it's a long shot but it might be worth while doing.
