I'll get onto them Zaksmum. On work PC at the moment, and it's carp- so slow and keeps crashing. I'll do it when I get home.

    Thank you x

My brother got called out to a job up in Inverness earlier so he's been packed off with a picture of Ruaridh, a slip lead and a tub of chicken....just in case!

  • What an amazing thread of MSE'ers working together, if I ever get a dog and this happens to me, I hope that I'll be as fortunate to get the help that you've all given. I've grown up with 2 dogs, and my parents have very recently bought a 3rd, it's lovely having them around, and we were really miserable after looking after her for just a weekend and having to give her back... I dread to think how it'd feel if she was lost, escaped and hadn't returned...

Anyway, I have an idea. I remember that last week they were talking about the effect of fireworks on animals, and that this time of year is especially challenging for all wildlife.

Contact Autumnwatch, 8:30-9:30pm tonight, BBC2 - a nationwide programme all about wildlife, they may even push a story about how animals were affected by the fireworks last weekend, and mention that pets can and do escape - and put a pic of Rory up... who knows... but definitely worth a shot. No?

Good luck, and I hope this story has a happy ending soon...
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
  • My current FB status is the link to the FB page - I have a few friends living in Scotland - hopefully somebody will know someone in the Nairn area. I am really praying that we can start the weekend with the great news that Rory is back home!

Thanks 'whowants' I'm trying to find a contact email just now for them.

I've just posted on the group page, and the sentiments are the same, so I'm going to post here as well.

My faith in humanity is knowing no bounds just now. Network Rail just phoned me to ask how the search was going and to tell me that their maintenance men had been out tramping miles of track to see if they could see anything. The words 'Thank you' seem so small to everyone, but please- from the heart, everyone- thank you so, so much

That's fantastic. :T Isn't it great how people pull together?

I don't have any more suggestions I'm afraid but I'm still keeping an eye on the thread and Rory is still very much in my thoughts. x
