Ive been reading the thread, and i hope and pray that her dog is found safe and well, I bet hes a little bit hungry now!! My little boy - a rescue dog - means everything to me. Good luck in him finding him safe and well.

There's a bottle of champagne in my fridge that I was bought for my birthday last Monday, I'll be opening it if it is him!

Oh I really hope it's him. I'm back in the Highlands just now and went to buy a P&J and Rory (sorry sp) wasn't in it.

I'd come and help you look sazzy but I'm only here overnight. Hopefully the sighting above was accurate and he's home now.

Sorry friends. I was out searching. Me and my dog sitter have been out for a good while-and although people we spoke to had seen the newspaper, flyers etc, they reported it was a brown lab they had seen running about. (I hope he has a home to go to)

It would have been an easy mistake to make in that light. I just didn't understand why he would be so close to the door and not come home.

Yes, I'm disappointed and heartbroken, can hardly see the screen to be honest with you all. But after reading all these lovely messages, I had to come back and tell you.

Cheepskate- I was down there at lunchtime-down that path leading to the sewage works. They know about the old boy as well. I'm so sorry to disappoint you all.

I just want him home, and it just seems to be getting farther and farther away

Oh, no, what a disappointment! Bit of a coincidence though that there was another lab out at 445 am on his own, don't you think? In street lighting black and brown will look very similar.

Don't lose heart sazzy. Dogs have been known to be missing for weeks and still come home safely.

Where were you when you bought it? This is the Inverness one, on page 6. I bought it in Nairn this morning. People have been coming up to me and asking about it- which is good because it means the word is spreading.

I'm sorry- I'm really downhearted just now. It's started raining for the first time since Saturday, and he'll be miserable.

Dear God, it's so upsetting. Poor little guy. I wish I could do something practical to help, I'd be so delighted to see him home safe.

We can only hope the newspaper article might give us a positive result.

sazzy, he'll have found shelter, he wont be sitting out in the rain. Dog's instincts kick in when they dont have their home comforts around them and he'll have found a spot to stay in.

That's if he's out. I do think he's been taken in by someone.

I was driving North and stopped off at Morrisons in Alness. They must have had the Highland edition. I was in Inverness earlier, I wished I'd bought one there.
