Another thought I had last night was keeping in daily contact with the council. I'm not sure how to word this without sounding morbid but if something has happened to him and they pick him up with no identification, we need to make sure that everyone in that department knows who he is and who he belongs to. Not a nice thing to have to think about or do but I'm sure any one of us on here would be happy to do it for you and make a pest of ourselves! Also if they don't have one already, get a poster to them that they can stick up on their wall.
Right now, I would actually sell my soul to get your boy back home to you
Hi I have been following this since sunday and thinking about you & rory alot. I agree with Nod Off above about the council but also ringing the council in the next town down river just incase he has been swept down stream. - Ignore that I have just looked at the maps!!
I really hope he is home safe soon - also think it is a excellent suggestion about getting some sniffer/gun dogs on the case.0 -
OK looked at the maps - a couple of things that I have seen but no-one has yet mentioned (I think) TO the east of the caravan park is what looks like a sewerage works with lots of sheds etc, do people there know he is missing.
Also on the golf club near the caravan park there is a ditch with stream and tunnels - has anyone checked the tunnels, would make a good place to hide.0 -
It is a great suggestion but how would you go about it? I can't see the police allowing the use of sniffer dogs, sadly. I thought about asking the local coastguard about an air search, but again they probably wouldn't be willing to help, although they do come out if a dog is seen in the water or trapped on a cliff ledge.
All of us on here are just praying for Rory's safe return now.0 -

That could be significant, especially the tunnels.0 -

Oh sorry spending mad, thought you meant the police dogs. How would you go about getting the dogs trained to sniff out foxes etc?
Pity my dog's not in that area - he never fails to sniff out any animal.
Brilliant news about the possible sighting though. Fingers crossed, eh?0 -
Hounds can follow a scent but not sure if they can pick up a dog's without following a trail?

I know Mountain Rescue have dogs trained to find other dogs but didn't suggest it as I didn't think they'd deploy them for it, assuming MR are even in that area & have dogs. I was reading about them in a dog mag yesterday. Any news?0
