    Just bringing the candles forward.

It would be wonderful news to hear he was back safe with his family, I can't believe its been so long.
There has been a lot of fireworks going off around here for a few weeks, its quite bad tonight.
Luckily, my dog doesn't bother about them, he's asleep, completely oblivious. November 5th is his birthday.

I do feel so sorry though for the poor animals that get left out, especially if they are scared. In the cold and not knowing where to go to get away from them, their owners are so heartless.

Well the dogs were out the back garden and a volley went off two doors down. I didn't know I knew so many swear words!!! Don't think those neighbours will be talking to me for a good while :D

Zelda thought they were something to bark at, not afraid at all, which is brilliant! Bruce however :( he shot into the house, tail between his legs and trembled under the computer desk. He ended up squished into the cat bed trying to make himself as small as possible :(

Bl00dy things- I HATE them beyond reason

    Awww hun, my Buddy is terrified of them, b ut Candy isn't bothered.Was wondering how you were today, and we all send u massive (huggles) ;

Thanks for keeping the candles going DD. On his FB page we have loads of people all lighting candles at 7pm on Monday for Ruars and all the missing furbabies.

Funnily enough- November the 5th is Ruars birthday as well. He'll be 12 this year. I just wish I could stop the 'If Onlys' running through my head.

I think my only hope at the moment is that he'll be terrified of the noises again, and run from whoever has him..maybe run home, or at least out in the open where someone will see him and recognise him. I know- it's far fetched isn't it..but stranger things have happened.:o
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

Not so far fetched at all sazzy. Dogs have returned to their owners after years away from home.

We should all send out positive thoughts on Monday...telling Ruars to get himself home and meet his new sister and cover his mum with doggy kisses!:)

I'll be lighting a candle at home too Sazzy on Monday, in fact I'll probably light a few. I've got a Yankee candle called 'Home Sweet Home' which I will light.
Lets all hope that he finds his way home soon, he's been missing far too long and needs to be back with you for his twilight years so you know he is safe.
Its no good tearing yourself up with 'What if's' Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I'm sure everyone has something in their lives that they can say 'What if..' I know I certainly have. If Ruars hadn't gone off, you might not have had Zelda.
Please don't blame yourself, you can't live with that guilt all your life.

There are fireworks going off outside even now at 11.19am!! - what's the point, how can they even be seen properly?

The little horrors round here are in full fireworks mode tonight. Makes you wonder where they get the money - fireworks are far from cheap.

Lucy's a nervous wreck, shaking, panting, pacing up and down. Jack's not that bothered but he picks up on Lucy's terror. I cuddled her just now and could feel her heart pounding, she's so frightened. God knows what she will be like by the time Monday's over.

    I absolutely detest fireworks.

I have been reading this from the very first night you posted on here and I felt your dread at loosing your dog. Then a couple of days later 8th November my cat Jack didn't come home. I could then really feel for anyone who has an animal missing.

Luckily for me my Jack was found skinny but well 15 days later in a garage 4 doors away. I cannot believe Ruars has been missing nearly a year I cannot begin to comprehend how you must be feeling as those two weeks were the worst for me ever.

My two are locked in tonight one is not overly bothered (usually a total scary cat of door bells, strangers etc) the other one Jack is under the bed scared of the fireworks.

Don't give up hope is all I can say and give your other two an extra cuddle.

Thank you Tall girl, and everyone :A

Bruce and Zelda are lying on the back of my chair, snugged into my neck. She's growling and barking at every bang, he's quivering. But what's sweet is that when he's shivering-she's kissing his nose and face.

I have got three of my 6 cats in the house- the other three are out in the shed, not perturbed at all.

I'm so glad your Jack came home:) give them a kiss from us
