I wrote miles for you sazz, lost the lot with one wrong click.

Suffice to say the first year with all the milestones is the worst. Hope the second is easier for you. Hard to accept Ruars is in front of another fire, but better another fire than no fire at all.

    See what loud bangs do.

There must be someway we can help? We've stamped out the wild animals in circuses, this must be a doddle surely?

Comfort for these poor dogs we can provide? One partner stays home, the other sits in a kennel next year. Take a radio in and distraction toys.

Mine is scared of his own shadow, but strangely couldn't care less about bangs, so I will volunteer to sit with these distressed dogs next year.

Can we get something going by then? Maybe organise calming plug ins and such? Volunteers to sit with the dogs?

Can we name the initiave "Ruars"? That would be a fitting tribute to the great guy.

But I'd like to see the whole anti Catholic ritual stamped out that most parents cannot afford anyway. Shame on you Catholics for joining in.

Imagine burning a black person on a bonfire, or a Jew, or an homoesexual? A Muslim? It's a Catholic however, so that's ok.

Shame on this ritual that should have been left behind in the dark ages, not encouraging our children to celebrate by scaring our animals witless.

    Yes I'm angry!

If you want to make a difference, tell your kids, no bangs and show them the video linked.

    Thanks.

I had saw that report Pad..it's disgusting!! Sounds like a great idea, but how do you think we would start going about it?

As I'm out in the country, all the kennels up here are out in the wilds and they don't have a problem. Just girding my loins for New Year now, although Zelda is ok, Brucie jumps but can be distracted by popcorn..he's weird..lol

For those of you who can't light a real candle at 7pm tonight for whatever reason, you could light a virtual one :)

Don't forget Ruars candles. Link above.

Come on Ruars, get yourself home for Christmas!!

We've just been having a load of fireworks going off in the area, they were so loud, they sounded like cannon fire.
