I've lit another too, the old boys had so many lit now the light should be shining a bright path home for him.

I was thinking about Ruaridh on new years eve - we spent the evening in the house with my parents dog who was scared stiff of the fireworks going off. My parents are still trying to settle him back into his usual night-time routine a week later.

Still hoping you'll get your boy back Sazzy.

I was the same, wishing and hoping he had made his way home and wasn't somewhere he'd be scared of all the fireworks. They were really loud here and my dog was terrified.
Please find your way home old boy, so many people are looking and praying for you :(

Fireworks around here went off from mid evening until almost 1am on New Years Eve

For those of you with nervous or frightened dogs it may be worth trying the Clix Noise and Sounds CD. I used it with Rodders from mid October until after bonfire night with good results.

With hindsight I should have carried on using it until after New Year as he spent the night barking at them :( He wasn't frightened or trying to hide, he just barked at the loud noises.

    Again- thank you everyone.

I've been in bed with flu the past 2 days so haven't been out looking, but there's a new walking group in Nairn-and they're going out tomorrow over the hills etc looking for him...so he is still in peoples minds, which I'm very grateful for.

A lady with associations to Scottish BBC also phoned me yesterday talking about doing a bulletin about him -you know one of those ''end of the news' type things-so fingers crossed for that.

I'm so appreciative of everyone on here, and on FB who are still supporting him, and haven't got fed up.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sazzy, sorry I've been missing in action for a while, but we are now the loving slaves of a privately rehomed ESS. So sorry to hear that Ruaridh's not back home with you yet, and hope you feel better soon. The news story sounds like a fab idea, really hope it helps.

I'm just back from up North, I know it was unlikely I would see him but it didn't stop me from looking out and hoping. x

Well- nothing from the walking group. I don't know why, but I was hoping they'd find something-anything. But I am so grateful they tried.

We've been offered a JRT (I've had them in the past) puppy. She was the runt of the litter, and they said they can't sell her. Sean said we should take her, as Bruce loves other dogs and misses the company. Plus, I must admit she is adorable! We were up seeing her today -she's 4 weeks old, and I don't know what to do. I said 'but what about Ruars' he just said 'then, we'll have 3 dogs' I had a JRT when I got Ruars originally, and he thought of her as his mother until she went to the bridge 3 years ago.

I've got until the end of January to decide. I don't know what to do.

If you've got the time, space and funds to keep three dogs, then I would say "go for it" and get the Jack Russell (I take it that's a JRT?) ;)
