It may well be daft sazz, that the fireworks might send him home, but I was thinking exactly the same last night, So that makes two of us.

Well at least this missing cat story had a happy ending:-
    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/cat-missing-4-years-comes-home-140121603.html

There was a dog story a few weeks ago too where a dog, staffy I think, had been stolen from someone's garden about five years ago, it developed some health problems and must have got thrown out of where it had been living since going missing, it turned up on a bus five years later and that got reunited with its former owners. Not that I'm wanting you to have to wait that long Sazzy!!

I also remember a story a few years back now, where a couple had been visiting Pickering Steam Rally, their dog got spooked by fireworks and ran off, they stayed up there for several days looking for it and kept going back when people said they thought they saw it, they lived about 200 miles away from Pickering, eventually, it turned up on their doorstep with bleeding paws where it had found its own way home. Its amazing what can happen, so don't give up hope.

I've actually been trying to catch a black lab cross today - not Ruars unfortunately, this one was a young one and was running around, backwards and forwards across the road I live on which, although isn't a main road, isn't that quiet either, how it didn't get knocked over I don't know.
I had been on the way to our local country park with my dog in the back of my car, I saw it running around and got my dog's lead to see if I could get it, it had a collar on and I thought I saw a tag. Then I heard some children shouting, they were stood on a corner of a side road, they had obviously been told not to cross the road and were just standing shouting it, they only looked about 5/6 years old, if that. I shouted and asked its name, then went after it, shouting it, but it was too quick for me, luckily, someone spooked it and sent it running back towards me so I herded it back towards the children who then went off down the road towards two women who were standing on the street, the women had not seeemed to have made any attempt to get the dog back, leaving it to the children just to shout it. The little boy came back for his scooter which he had left at the end of the road, I said they ought to have the dog on a lead, he said it had got scared, all the more reason to have it on a lead. I started going towards the women to tell them what I thought of them, but they went in.

Sorry, but people like that don't deserve to have animals if they can't take care of them properly. It not only could have got lost but it could have caused an accident, got itself injured or anything.

When you think of poor Sazzy who is doing everything to get old Ruars back it doesn't seem fair.

Still hoping he's safely back soon.
