Thank you for the candles everyone. We appreciate it so much.
I thought it might be easier as time went on-but it's not. I don't know if it's the time of year or what but the ache is just as bad, if not worse.
Sean took one of the cats to the vet yesterday to get neutered and I started saying to him to remember to pick up sedation for Ruars- he hates Hogmanay with all those bloody fireworks! Stopped mid sentence and just welled up yet again. Bruce seems to be okay-he just barks at them.
I just hope Ruars story has made some people think about letting off fireworks in their garden. If it stops one dog from running away in terror- then it's at least done some good. If that makes sense.
Have a peaceful New Year everyone, and spare a thought for all those no longer with us.:(Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them0 -
No surprise it feels as bad as you approach the New Year Sazzy. You know that there is an empty space and moving in to another year without him amplifies that. Also down here there will be fireworks going off and that will bring back memories and wondering if he is safe where he is.
Sending hugs
