yes even the knobs are in the same position definately the same photos good work there
and reported to gumtree when will it end

on gumtree these adds are prompting for a 101.number mobile# contact
they have been posting since december 2012 , do not have a contact number either but want one

Good work spotting those, hopefully you have stopped more people loosing their money.

If you search ebay completed listings for the titles they are exactly the same as the titles on gumtree. They sold on ebay for double what the gumtree scammer is offering them for

I couldn't spot the sofa but if we are spotting the scams this easily why are gumtree not doing anything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just searched gumtree descriptions for 101.number mobile#
There are loads coming up, all the ones I have searched on ebay completed listings have sold for double the gumtree price
This is a big scam!!!!!!

Is this all a coincidence? I can spot 9 items on gumtree following this pattern are they all scams? How many people are being robbed of their money.
I am going to be really wary of buying anything on gumtree from now on and probably avoid it all together

notice how these adds are new december posters and put a line in asking for a contact but use discreet punctuation marks to obscure if you were doing a search
gumtree needs to sack their security staff and employ people that will do their job properly and end this scam scam scam
we take matters like this very seriously
they dont even acknowledge the scam
not one post here from a rep from either gumtree or paypal (who owns gumtree) to say they are working on a fast solution
if i was employed by gumtree i would be fearful of my job
as either the scammers go or gumtree goes.
they could run every add on gumtree through a pasting system against past ebay adds to filter out the duplicates.
all done on software and the scammers would have to modify both the pictures and most of the wording or not get through
but talking to gumtree is like nailing jelly to the wall

Gumtree are not interested it seems!
It is shocking the amount of items that are part of the scam.
I feel sorry for the people that havent seen this forum and that may get scammed.
