Nearly got caught out today by Lisa Morgan, but as soon as I received the email from Parcel force, I knew it was a scam.
How?
Well, check the email address it was sent from "royal-mail@courier-updates.info"
Clearly, if it was a genuine parcelforce email, it would have been "xxxxx@parcelforce.com"
Perhaps theres some legs in finding out about the courier-updates.info address? perhaps its a real mail-server? (probably not!)
email I received is belowParcel Tracking detailsAt the request of Lisa Morgan, this notice is to confirm that the following shipment is in transit.

This is the email I got for her/him
BEWARE ---- BEWARE ---- SCAM GUMTREE PARCEL FORCE

I nearly fell for the same scam by Lisa Morgan or whatever her/his/their name is! A SMEG fridge/freezer of Gumtree for £230 - yep, to0 good to be true. But, still nearly fell for it. As I received the email from Parcelforce I realised there is something not quite right. Such a big, well known company wouldn't use UKASH (never heard of it before!) And if you check the parcelforce email you will realise that it isn't parcelforce. BEWARE of Lisa Morgan who tries selling items through Gumtree (for a price that is too good to be true) and is asking for a UKASH payment ....Hope this helps.
This was her second email:
Of course, nothing goes according to planUnfortunately I've just got called into the office so very busy till next week, hectic lifestyle. However, back at work we have some shipments for large items with parcelforce all week long. Just thought it would save you time and hassle if I'll send it along with them free of charge hihi company benefits
.
I asked around and it seems you can pay cash upon delivery/inspection. It's quite simple since they're able to wait for you to check it out, if not as described they can just void the shipment with no extra charge.
If that's alright with you I'll need a name, address, contact number and also date&time suitable for the delivery.
Second option - if you want to pop in and collect you'll have to wait till next week or so when hopefully I'll get my head around.
Let me know either way. No need to worry If my reply is delayed since I'm just having fun working long hours ... or not)
Lisa.

I have had the same experience with this add on Gumtree:
Painted Shabby Chic Double Pine Wardrobe - Lancashire - £50
I have just reported the add to save other folk falling for it too!
I was really sucked in by the convincing emails of the 'business womans hectic lifestyle and company benefits' - thank god I Googled Ukash voucher as I was stood outside the shop about to purchase the vouchers!!!
I can't help thinking 'what if that had been my mum/nan etc'.
It is very cruel and I couldn't help but give 'Lisa' a piece of my mind as soon as I found out - she needs to think about actually getting a real job instead of conning innocent people all day long.
I am so thankful for everyone who has posted about this - you saved me from becoming a victim :-)0 -
Same people are advertising on gumtree in Cambridge:"Next beech dining table and 6 leather chairs
£130 Cambridge
This dining set is in excellent condition and is a bargain! The table extends to over 200cm if you need the extra space for more guests. The chairs are dark brown leather so are wipeable and they are very comfy and all in excellent condition. Please reply with your number for any further questions."
Note how they insist on having your mobile number rather than them using gumtree's email to reply to you.
When I responded to the ad saying I'd like to come and see it, they sent me a text:"It's Lisa from gumtree(Next beech dining table and 6 leather
chairs), if you have any questions email me LISA75MORGAN at GMAIL.COM"
I thought this strange as I'd asked if we could come and view the item.
I sent lisa75morgan@gmail.com an email, also saying I'd like to view it and they replied:Don't know if it's been long since you've emailed, I've been out so couldn't follow up on my text message. Can't promise anything but visiting my mum shortly, wouldn't mind making a drop off
If you'll send me your postcode I can check out on my satnav the distance to yours.
Reasonable price and accurate description, it's worth the money, no bad surprises. I won't go any lower.
Can be reached on 07425620661 low signal strength areabut check emails regularly.
Ta,
Lisa.
P.S. Will let you know before heading out, cash only please.
Note how she is trying to put off me actually calling her. I also thought this odd as she was wanting to deliver the item, not offering for me to view it first. I did a bit of searching and I then found the same picture & text for a (what I assume is) legit item on ebay (which had been sold £271). I also googled the mobile number 07425620661 and came across this thread. Now replying to 'her' mail to say 'No thanks...'0 -
I have had the same happen to me recently. I found a piano on Gumtree that i was very interested in and have been looking for one in kent for about 6 months, so i decided to reply to the thread. The following day i recieved a text message saying:It's Lisa from gumtree(YAMAHA NP-30 Digital keyboard, Roland footpedal, Bag and stand), if you have any questions email me LISA75MORGAN at GMAIL.COM.
So i E-mailed her back that day :Hi Lisa,
We will be in Canterbury tomorrow, so I was wondering if you would be free tomorrow (thursday) at about 12pm for me and my husband to come have a look at the digital keyboard you have for sale?
Thanks Tina
The same day I received an E-mail back from her:Hi Tina,
Don't know if it's been long since you've emailed, I've been out so couldn't follow up on my text message. Can't promise anything but visiting my mum shortly, wouldn't mind making a drop off

The same day i sent this E-mail back:Hi Lisa,
Ive been out myself so not to worry about the replyWe are very happy with the price you are asking. My postcode is ****** if you cant make it over here like i said in my earlier e-mail we are in Canterbury tomorrow for most of the day and would be more than happy to come to you to collect.
Thanks
The following day I received this:Of course, nothing goes according to planUnfortunately I've just got called into the office so very busy till next week, hectic lifestyle. By now my husband was getting a little suspicious as he had found an old completed ad on Ebay that looked EXACTLY the same as the one on gumtree.
But I continued with the e-mail correspondence I contacted them the following day so the 29th nov 12:Sorry for the late reply Lisa i would be happy for you to send it as long as we can test it before we hand over any money? I'm sorry if this does not sound like we trust you but we recently bought something off ebay saying that it was fully functioning and it was notso you can see why we are a bit causious.
My name is Tina
address is : *******
phone: *********
Date and time : Today after 5pm or Tomorrow after 5pm otherwise im not sure on a time due to work and hospital visits i have to attend
If there are any problems with this please feel free to contact me on the above phone number
Thanks TinaGreat, I've just finished filling out the forms online and scheduled the delivery for Monday pm, 5-6pm ( at your end). The courier company will also handle the payment. I was so angry!!! as this piano is for my daughter and she was very excited, we don't have a lot of money as most people don't these days. These ppl make me sick!!! :mad
Although I am luckier than others on here who have lost money to these thieves. I feel for you all, I really do, as it all seemed so normal.
