I take my hat off to you cheekychap00! You are doing a great job in helping to stop these scammers!
Gumtree should be jumping on this as you are obviously way better at security on their system then they are and that's even without rights to go behind the scenes and filter. Just hope that they are taking you seriously and start removing these adverts asap!

how did you establish all those above were scams? is there a method you can send us (privately) to explain? Other than google the content of each advert i can't think how we can root out the fraud ads?

Gumtree only seem to remove adverts if you tell them that you've been scammed. I emailed them to tell them about an ad that knew was a scam because of the text message I received from the seller and I got no response. 3 weeks later the ad was still on there (I hate to think how many people may have lost money) and it wasnt until I emailed Gumtree again and said I'd personally been scammed that they finally took it off.

When you report an ad please tell them that you've personally been affected or you probably won't get a reply.

Go to ebay and search completed listings for the exact same title
2 x Pioneer CDJ-850 Multi Function CD Player (Pair)
This comes up with ebay item 130805722167
Same item, same photos, same description but different part of the country and sold for double the price in the genuine auction. Sold on 28th Nov for £920.00

There are loads of scam adverts beware!

got a long running script with daniela at gumtree mostly waste of time but every time i get the have we answered your q we will drop your complaint OH NO YOU WONT I AINT GOING AWAY
IVE BEEN SCAMMED AND I DO NOT LIKE IT
and i dont want anyone else to get scammed by people turning the other cheek to this scam gumtree ebay ukash parcelforce.
still working with the police and in early january it will go to the financial services ombudsman (thats the 8 weeks up then tha ukash has to deal with my complaint)
if we can stop just one person from being scammed its worth it
