SmokeyBabe - Some good news on DH. Look after him

Amie really hope your flight's ok.

Jellycat - just a general hug for you and dh.

Been working all day. Just sorted washing and loaded WM ready for the weekend wash marathon. :A

Meal plan didn't get done last night. I just was soooo tired that I couldn't face it! Also may be because I spent soo long on here nosing at the thread with people's kitchens on. :o;)

Bookpeople have tried to deliver my "8 books for a £5" today and yesterday so I need to go and arrange delivery now. Grr - I only work 3 days a week, so that means they really have a 50% chance of catching me in (if you don't include sunday) but delivery companies ALWAYS try to deliver wed/thurs/fri. Why?

    I suppose I shouldn't really moan - I only ordered the books on friday.:D

Our TV has pretty much given up - there's no red coming through on the picture now at all. Part of me feels TV is a luxury so we should get as cheap and cheerful as we can. But then another part of me thinks that DH and I don't go out and drink often, staying in and watching films is part of our recreation, so we should get something decent. Dunno. I need to have a think about it. DH will be in his element comparing and contrasting and quoting all sorts of stats at me. Ijust wanna know if it looks good - and can I watch UKTVFood.

Peem, why don't you look on freecycle for a new tv - we picked up a 24" with in built video player from a freecycler last week.

Jellycat - Hope things work out, might be worth ringing the tax office and getting a full low down yourself - do they have all the details about the bankruptsy?

Rzl - Ohh get you with your own personal Ikea delivery person - hope they table's just right.

    Shez
How nice of you to collect and deliver to Rzl - really thoughtfull of you.

Just started snowing heavily again - typically just as DH has just left work - let's just hope everyone is sensible.

Just off to put the BM on for tomorrow and do half an hours ironing before taking DD1 off to panto rehersal....her social life is far better than mine!

    Have a lovely evening all.

Ya tool, I specifically told you not to look :p

They keep putting the flight time back every time I look. Now due to fly at 21.30 our time (half ten over there). I just hope they don't cancel as, aswell as spending another night without him, I need the car for work tomorrow (on an "errand day") which may cause a problem if it's in Stansted :(

I have just managed to get through on the special British Airways emergency line and spoke to a nice chap, sounded like he had had a bad day, he told me that flights to Orlando will not be effected !!! i dont know why as they are still run by BA, they are not using any different cabin crew. I think i am just going to keep an eye on the news ect and when the strike happens next week i can check with teletext to see if the Orlando flights are still going ahead.... even though he has told me that the Orlando flights arnt being effected.. i know im going to still worry.

Not read to the end so someone may have nipped in before me, but I think it is the scheduled flight which are affected and yours may be a charter one.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Evening everyone :hello:

jellycat and Queenie - if you do happen to find your ooomph, can you look to see whether mine is there too? It seems to have disappeared and I just don't know how to get it back.

Bargain Rzl and Shez - that's lovely! It's a great community that we have here and that just makes me feel warm and grateful that I'm part of it. :)

I've finished my final day in the school that I've been in for the past 4 days. Some of the children were quite sweet when they said goodbye. I've got a day booked in another school tomorrow in Peterborough, then 2.5 days booked next week in various other places. Oooh, including my friend's school who specifically asked for me to cover her class! :j :j

I'm coming down with a cold, so I'm not overly impressed. I haven't had one for a while, so I suppose I only deserve it . Oh, and my mum text me to say that Katie the dog is having a hysterectomy :( I'd better 'phone her soon to see how she is.

We've also received a letter from the letting agents today who say that our landlord DOES want to "test the water" with selling the house that we're renting, but he wants to do it with our permission (cos he still wants our rent :D). If it does sell, then the LL will give us the 2 months notice, unless the person buying wants a buy-to-let with tenants already ensconced. We'll see what comes of it.......

Spaghetti bolognese for supper tonight. Our freezer is jam packed with frozen portions, so we're getting through them this week! Or some of them, at least!

I'd better go and find out how the dog is!
