:rotfl: thanks for that GB...
The most annoying thing about the whole charade is that nobody knew what was going on, not even the staff, so they were lying to the passengers telling them stuff they were making up... Result: lots of conflicting information flying about.
He's a nervous flyer as it is, so all this waiting around in the airport will have really got to him!!
Should land in the next hour, I'm sat next to my phone waiting for his text to say that he's down safe!!
Going to log off for the night now,
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, hopefully I'll have him back tonight, but if not at least he's not too far away!!
Happy Friday... might not be logging on or doing any OS tomorrow as OHs boss just text me to ask me to tell him not to bother going into work tomorrow!! Will be our first full day at home together since Xmas Day so no prizes for guessing what "OS" we'll be doing - creating our own heating perhaps
*strolls off and wonders which OS'ers are filth enough to know what I'm referring too, and which are :A enough to think we're going to spend the day knitting blankets* :rotfl: :whistle:0 -
Evening all. Thanks for the "good lucks" with regards to the interview. I don't think it went as well as it could have done, but my boss knows what I'm capable of and I don't think I said anything in the interview that was particularly bad. I should know on tuesday (he has monday off). One of the other guys I work with went for it as well, and going head to head with someone you work with is never fun, just have to wait and see.
I was amazingly organised this morning, I made up the casserole for dinner and put it in the fridge so the BF could put it in the oven when he got home from work and then it would be ready when I got in. Except.... he was tired when he got in and went to sleep and only got my message reminding him to put it in the oven about 10 minutes before I got home !! I guess that plan didn't work particularly well then.
Last night I listed the BF's nintendo DS games we don't play any more on amazon. He kept saying about trading them in for cash at the place in town but he's been saying that for a month, so I thought I'd list them for him. Came home from work to discover one had been sold. Sold another one to my boss. His debts are more than mine, so ever little helps as Mr T would say.
I hope everyone has had a good day.
Amie glad to read your flight will be ok.

Have fun darling - I sometimes sneak home at lunchtime - I say no more and I am mid 50s!!!!!!!!!! Hope he is ok at least this side of the water you know where he is and at least no work tomorrow. Do I feel a siccy coming on?Never used to do it but when I see what all the prats do, pull one about once a year. Always feel guilty, don't stray out of house in case of a phone call but it helps recharge the batteries. Thought I would never say that or do it! I tend to do great OS things that day like the loft!

Well I have a glass of sherry in my hand, I need something to cancel out my day!!!!!!!!! Various things going on, looks like we are going to have to move, landlord being a pain in the neck.....we are looking at applying for council accomadation, we will only qualify for 1 bedroom but at least we might get the jobs done.
I have listed some more stuff on ebay, see if I can sell it, one has a bid on already which bodes well.......I am going to have to start a removal fund....
I have put a big notice on the front door re the parcel to be collected......be sure I will not use the same couriers again. I'll have to find another one or use Parcel force..............
Its a lot warmer tonight, snow has all but gone, just the odd pocket where the sun does not get to.
Got 2 people coming Saturday to pick up stuff as well as visitors for supper, so Saturday is going to be a busy day..........I have done the apple for the pie tonight, will make the pastry tomorrow and bake it, then I can put it in the grill to warm through while I am cooking the chicken......
Re the person claiming benefit, report them......after all its your money, a chap was sent to prison last week for claiming benefit when he was running marathons, people like that make me so mad. I have problems walking and cannot get a penny to help with transport costs.....oh has arthritis in his feet, which will in time prevent him from walking too but I bet we will not get a penny to help us, donl't get me going on the subject or we will be here all night.
Right off to bed for a read................... see you tomorrow..............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Well, our aches and pains not getting any easier and thanks for what you said. I have good days and bad days but as I am only achy would not do the spaces or benefits. Still stiff today from DGS1 birthday bowling on Tuesday. Just popping extra pills. Wondering what is going to be there healthwise when I get a bit older. Popping the glaucosime too which I thinks help. GP says she would prescribe if she could as into alternative medicine.
Are you OK with move - maybe best. Do you need other accommodation? I know it easier for guests if second bedroom and no sleeping on sofa etc in lounge as I can be an early riser and like to go down for a cuppa.

Hi everyone. I seem to post later each day. Another busy day here with work, usual chores and then Rainbows and Brownies for DDs.
I have been spending a lot of time on ebay as I only took the plunge a couple of days ago, after being inspired by dlb's success. So far I've listed 8 items and I've got bids for 2 of them, so I'm quite excited about it! :j
The problem is I keep looking for things to sell! I've discovered some silver and gold earings that I've never worn, so perhaps I'll list them next week. My DH has been complaining that now he is an ebay and a MSE widow! I told him to stop complaining as at least I'm not spending any money! :rotfl:
One of the items I've sold is a 7 inch picture disc and I was wondering about the best way to package/post it. My DH came up with a great idea and off I went to our local chippy and asked if I could have a free (clean) pizza box! This is very MSE but I'm not sure how much it will cost to post it and what the buyer will make of it! :rotfl:
Have a warm and cosy evening folks.0 -
Granny do you really find the Glucosamine helps? I have two huge tubs of it in the kitchen but I didn't think it helped me, perhaps I just didn't take it for long enough.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I am taking it alongside prescription stuff. Have good days and bad but anything that I think helps I keep taking. Felt if GP went with it and other folk I have spoken to, then a good thing. Takes about 3 months to kick in. Hope this helps. By the way 1000 gms twice a day with food to get optimum.
