 now no information to be given until 8.45pm

By which time it will be too late to get on another flight to the UK and he'll be stuck if they decide to cancel. He's never been abroad alone before, and it's his first trip with work, so doesn't bode well. I don't understand why, if they're going to cancel, they don't do it straight away rather than let them all hang around for what has now been over 8hrs...

I've phoned work and told them that I won't be able to go in tomorrow. They weren't impressed, but what can I do? The car is at the other end of the country

 Easyjet... surely trading standards should be onto them for using a misleading name...

    Evening all!!

Woo! They are playing TTs 'Back for Good' on Hollyoaks!! Woo!

Yes, I get excited about the smallest things!

Have had a rotter of a day.... got into w**k late (9.10! The roads were clogged this morning!) and luckily they had someone to take my lesson whilst the class waited. The morning went well, until I went to another part of the school at breaktime.... some coward of a kid hit me on the head with an ice ball! Luckily, the rest of the boys who were throwing them had stopped when I walked past, so they could all see who the culprit was! Two boys ran after him, and two made sure that I was alright and that I got to the office OK (my head was throbbing and felt so faint!)... they aren't all bad eh? After a cuppa and a relax, I continued the day. Had an awful cover lesson after lunch~was an unfamiliar lesson in an unfamiliar room and chaos ensued. I was so glad to leave at 3:45!

Happy birthday Tinkerbelluk... i hope you had a better day than I had! Did you get any OS pressies?

Going to have an easy one tonight, bland food as my IBS is playing up, and an early night! Finished my jewellery order so shall be sending that off tomorrow, along with a couple of other orders. There's a nice, quiet PO on my way back from work, so I can mail my stuff off there.

Right-o.... gonna do some comping and perhaps a letter (am so behind on my mail!)... have a good evening!

    Good Evening All

Back from Birmingham now, after DS hospital appt, all is well, just go to book him an appt at our local dentist. Cos the way his teeth sit, his top teeth fall behind his bottom set, and the bottom set is now rubbin the enamel of them, so got to see get them coated!! The gum part (which was our first concerns,) has healed lovely and not affected the bone graft at all.

Amiee I heard on the radio that British Airways intend to strike, only flights out of Heathrow, some from Gatwick may also be affected! Hope that helps, Ive not read rest of the thread yet to see if you've been updated! Hope it wont affect you.

Uniforms ironed for work/school tomorrow, animals fed, WM on, OH just nipped out for some dinner. Take away tonight.

Will be back later, just going to put the kettle on and read rest of today's thread.
Love to you all as usual
    Take care

I bit my tongue as this is the lady who is claiming incapacity benifit at its higest level but still plays netball 2 times a week and works cash in hand looking after a elderly lady, even though she cant walk apparently and has just recived her blue badge for the car!!

Come on surely she should be bubbled! This is my hard earned tax she is going abroad on!

This is abuse of the system, and folks who need it cannot get it!

Roz_V - He may have to make his own arrangments for an overnight stay, hope he has his CC with him. Also may need to arrange his own alternative flight! Just make sure he keeps all his receipts.

DLB - what a plonker that person is. To know you are paying your way is a wonderful feeling. To claim benefit like that sounds fraudulent. How on earth has no-one reported her. Don't get me started about able bodied folk parking in disabled bays, folk with no kids parking in parent and child bays!

Keep doing it your way - you are the one who can hold your head high.

Grannybroom :T I totally agree with you.

I get so angry about people like that! They are the types who get away with everything. I am having to get my DLA reassessed as my GP said I should be getting higher rate mobility... I can barely walk across the car park where I'm doing supply at the moment, makes me so sick. A woman in the supermarket once told me that my using a walking stick was 'fake' and 'if I took your stick away I bet you'd walk just fine!'... I really felt like slapping her, but she really wasn't worth the energy (of which I have very little of). My friend and I have also had abuse when using her blue badge to park... supposedly if you're young, you don't deserve a blue badge and should be walking just fine! Ughhhhhhhhhhhh!

I agree with grannybroom, dlb keep your head up high, you are so much better than this woman! If I even thought about playing netball twice a week I'd be bed-bound for a week! It depresses me so much to think that i can't go out an do exercise.... I used to go to the gym 3x a week... classes and a swim after, but now I struggle to get out of the bath!
