DLB - what a plonker that person is. To know you are paying your way is a wonderful feeling. To claim benefit like that sounds fraudulent. How on earth has no-one reported her. Don't get me started about able bodied folk parking in disabled bays, folk with no kids parking in parent and child bays!

Keep doing it your way - you are the one who can hold your head high.

I can confirm that a hairdressers 5 minutes is like their 1/2 inch!! Only 20 mins late out of the salon so had to ring the school to have kids kept in!!

Never mind - hair looks good and only 10 inches shorter :D Mr TM is currently on his way upstairs and about to walk through the door of the study.... I'm awaiting his reaction cos he likes long hair and he didn't know I was having it cut :rotfl: Anyway, the boys like it :j

and I do..........:D Very radical girl and very nice:j (not going out with you any more youll pull easier than me :D:D

Blimey hope the flights are too bad I have 4 to do in the next 2 weeks:eek: amie glad your holiday is not affected at least mine is just work and I can get around it I guess

Have very successfully not acheived anything I committed not to achieve - love this reverse to do list idea you know you can be satisfied at the end of the day;)

Done 25 workbooks though ( which involved designing 2 new courses) and they are currently being put together by my admin man so at least most of the work stuff is done.

Had an aerial man round today to fit an extension point in my bedroom (so many possible innuendos but I wont:D ) any way 35 quid later and I can now watch telly with freeview and without snow:j I have some vouchers to spend from my goldfish card and decided on a small LCD for my room they have come down loads in price and i just think they look so much nicer - not being wasteful though I will use my 23 year old portable in the office:cool:

Right best get back to workbooks suppose

Onwards and upwards and always making sure I am sticking to my wont be doing list:rotfl:

Evening all. I'm just trying to catch up with the thread, sorry to hear about peoples problems with airlines, sounds like chaos, hope you get something sorted with the holiday Amie. I've had a day full of cleaning, housework, cooking and baking. Thankfully DS1 seems better and hasn't been sick again. Got his bed to remake soon.

With the kids being off school I have been confused all day thinking it's Saturday. The swimming has been cancelled for the boys again so they are not happy. They haven't been to this particular group for over a month now, it's been cancelled every week since mid December and they miss it, even if we take them to the other pool they still aren't happy..
One day I might be more organised...........

  • What a day it has been. A real rollercoaster.

As you all know my OH was taken in to hospital a week ago with a suspected heart attack, much along the lines of smokeybabes OH, well he has had to go back to work even though he has now been diagnosed with stress induced angina as we have no income when he does not work - well talk about stress - the accountant has just sent an Email to say that we have to pay £5000+ for income tax as nothing was paid last year. It was but the tax office have allocated it to the year before as nothing was paid in that year apparently - my OH had an operation on his back and also went bankrupt in this year.

No stress involved there then apart from the fact that we have no spare cash at all, let alone £5k. We think we can get a years grace but it will still need to be paid next year and then the tax that would have been due as well on top. So we need to save £10k in the next 14months!

We live practically hand to mouth anyway but more moneysaving in the jellycat household will be needed - a family conference I think.

On a lighter note - and I apologise if this is something all you guys already know but I have found a use for the nets that come around satsumas, plums, onions etc. You can put them on your hand and use them to scrub vegetables!!!! I thought of that by myself but I will not be surprised if someone else has had the same idea. lol

I am so glad Aimee that it looks as if your flights are ok - resist the choccy bars they will only go to your hips and you will be sorry.

    ((((Hugs)))) jellycat

Well, day 4 of jury service and I GOT PUT ON A TRIAL at last :j The trial itself only went on for about 3 hours but we haven't reached a verdict yet so we'll be back in the jury room tomorrow morning  Most of the jurors whose cases ended today were advised to go home and not come back till Monday, and if this had happened to me I would have had to go into the office tomorrow - so TBH I'm glad it dragged on ;)

Am off out in a mo, just to Morrison's for a few bits and to get some money out for the new IKEA table Shez is bringing me :T :T She's coming over TONIGHT - fast work!

    Bye folks, see you later

    Rzl xx

  • (((hugs))) Jellycat, Roz and anyone else who needs one.

Smokybabe- Glad it wasn't a heart attack - hopefully the hospital and docs will keep a good eye on him so it wont happen again.

Crazychick - I hope your trip to Birmingham wasn't too bad, at least we had no snow so that was one less thing to worry about.

Amie - glad ur flights are not affected - try not to worry about it - cross your fingers and everything will be fine!

busy day today, being assessed at wo*k, I always worry about things like that, I dream about it the night before and stress, yet it was fine! Must learn to calm down and stop worrying.

Have a good evening all xxBBxx

How are you keeping? I know you are keeping an eye on things here! DD and DGSs all poorly with raging throats/coughs/runny beaks. She didn't sound a happy bunny on phone today. Of course, she can't take anything with being pregnant. Hope you are keeping OK
