Re parking bays etc - I just feel so lucky that I can walk those extra yards to my car with the trolley! I do park in Parent and Child spaces (if I can!) when I have the boys because I have car seats in my car and I am quite legit! Wouldn't dream of doing that when haven't got them. I look in cars parked in these spaces and there is often no car seat, booster cushion or anything else. Rant over on that topic!!!
Re claiming benefit you are not entitled to - well I can feel my already high blood pressure rising by the second.
When I had my kids many moons ago I didn't sign on after maternity benefit (which I was entitled to) as I was so worried they would offer me a job as I am an office worker. At that time you were only able to turn down two job offers and had to take the third one! Loads of folk we knew claimed benefit but didn't as I had no-one near to help with childcare. I became a childminder to help out instead as we were so strapped for cash. (That rant now over too!)
Now getting to the stage in the evening when I will probably not respond to individual posts. crazychick - just glad visit to hospital seems to have gone OK. Anyway thinking of all who have had difficult days, whose OHs are stuck due to aircraft misplacement etc etc.
Will keep an eye on you this evening though - things went so crazy on here late last night/early this morning! Naughty naughty!!!
Just finished off the ironing and put it away. Just made a major discovery tonight. Have discovered that DH taking pants/socks from airers in cupboard (where central heating boiler is) every morning because they are nice and warm!!! What a wooooooooooose! Wondered why I seemed to be putting away less than I had hung up. Have told him tonight I am up-to-date with ironing and putting away so cold bits tomorrow!!

sorry for the moan0 -
Woohooo he is at least sitting on a plane!!!!
Waiting for an available take-off spot then he should be on his way... Due to land at 9.30 (not sure if that's correct or if EJ are fobbing me off...)
He has been told, however, by myself and his boss, not to drive home if he's too tired. Work will pay for a hotel or something for him if needs be but they want him back safely as much as I do!!!
So sit and wait now with fingers crossed.
Amie, chocolate? check. wine? check... relaxed much more now I know he will at least be in the country tonight...0 -
Roz_V - great news. Better to have a good sleep after touch down here than attempt the drive. The boss seems pretty clued in on that one! Know you will want him home but better he is here but having a good night's sleep.
What is everyone's worst flying moments?
I have had two! Year before last I was flying south on EJ first flight, clock went off, have 5 minutes, woke 1 hour before flight due to depart (and I had another flight from Gatwick!).. Dh swore at me more than he has ever done and words I have never heard before!!, dropped me off, check-in closed by 5 minutes! Went to the desk and asked about availability for next flight - totally told the truth about sleeping in. They changed me over and absolutely no surcharge - different from what you hear on the programmes! Couldn't fault them. Also managed to get onward flight at Gatwick with about 30 mins to spare for check-in. It was actually an awful day because it was the London bombing days in July and the whole picture was unfolding on the airport tv and DS, DD phoning to say was I OK as they thought I was in London when it started to unfold. Of course I was still here in Scotland trying not to admit to my faux pas!
Last year we went to Hong Kong and China to have a holiday with friends out there. I travelled back before DH and had picked up a tummy bug just as I was leaving HK. Was in window seat and had to disturb couple numerous times for loo and suggested they swap so I was aisle seat - it was so awful! They refused. I then took great pleasure having to wake them up when needing the loo. I then had 5 hours in Amsterdam plus a 2 hour delay before I got back to Edinburgh - and guess what - then had to drive home!!!!! I had mentally worked out every loo on the way home but fortunately once on home ground was OK. By the way the loos in Schipol are lovely - I know every one personally!0 -
Right you lot - you are too quiet tonight. I am off for a quick wipe down, put away and off to bed. I am knackered! Spent too long on forums today and then had to do a serious catch-up. Even DH now complaining about how much time I am on here as he can't check his e-mails! I am there all day at work and lurking big time when I get home. What tips for addiction? I have decided I have a problem. mse.addiction.co.uk? Martin - set it up!
Love and hugs to all.

Don't know GB, but if you find a anti-dote, let me in on it as I can be as bad too!

See my last post! I am seriously worried! Work suffering as is home life. DH says I act like a m ole - I disappear upstairs all evening and he never sees me. He snores and then wakes up in the morning - I am not there as I moved through at 3 am to get a bit of sleep!
