I have been told that NTL are offering FREE line rental for 12 months to certain cable customers.
With this, and the 18899 override, in theory you should be able to drop your phone bill to nearly nothing for 12 months...
I have yet to have this confirmed I hasten to add, but I thought I'd post it anyway in case any NTL customers had come across it. There may be a tie in for a further year, or you might have to take their TV package... (yuck!)
As soon as I find out anything more, I'll let you know.
Martin - have you heard about this?Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
does anybody know if there is a limit to the length of each phone call
eg as per with sky talk 59 minutes????
and do you have to dial a standard dialling code, eg 01772 for local calls???

Please, I would like to find out more - as I am an NTL customer with the telephone and television (basic) package already.
Thank you!

I'd like more info too.
I have been a Telewest customer for 18 months and have just signed up for their talkunlimited evenings and weekends scheme at about £6 per month. Have I been a mug?
Our monthly bill is only ever about this amount anyway - we are not heavy users.
Is this 16886 business as good as it sounds?
Is it worth me cancelling the talk unlimited package?
Would really appreciate your advice.
Thanks

With each drop in call charges I am becoming more concerned about the 'credit card authorisation' debate which has been running.
If brother/sister companies (18866 & 1899) are 'cutting each others prices' then where is the benefit to them - if not something to do with the credit card authority??
Am I just too sceptical? Do we really know the actual dangers of the authorisation?I say what I like, I like what I say!0
