I'm going to clean my oven shelves today, I was thinking of soaking them in biological wsahing powder in the bath first , please can anyone confirm if this is ok to do in a white plastic bath and shouldn't damage it.
Thanks

I was given some lamb bones from the butcher and I'm making a stew with dumplings - anyone see any problems with making the dumplings from the lamb fat I got from the bones (There's loads of fat!).
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -

The washing powder won't hurt the bath, so as long as you're careful physically with the shelves you'll be fineHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. It's not quite the same kind of fat so you might not quite get what you expect - though pople have made dumplings out of just flour and water I believe, so you could give it a try.
Anyway, here's a link on suet:-

Does anyone have any idea how long home made coleslaw might last for in the fridge before it goes manky?
I used to make HM years ago, but it always got eaten the same day - now I'm thinking of making some to take to work every day, but it'd have to be made in one batch and last.0 -
Coleslaw
We used to make it where I worked and it kept for about 5 days easily, think it's a case of try it and see, try to use the freshest veg etc and make sure it's kept in an airtight container. One day I might be more organised...........

is this thread about cooking solely? If it is ignore my question and I apologize if not.... I have just spilt bleach on the toilet mat (dark blue) now gone purple!!
Do I have to throw it out or is there something that can be done? (Yes I have turned it the other way but it has gone through!!) xxx0 -
Hi CFC,
I'd agree with lil_me........four or five days. Sometimes it can go a bit watery but if it's been kept refrigerated, looks ok and doesn't smell bad it should be fine.

Victory, sorry but I think you'll find that there isn't anything you can do as it's removed the colour other than bleach it all/dye it/colour it in. I do have a black top which has a small spot coloured in with marker pen that I bleached
noones ever noticed and even I forget where it is.

Only solution I can think of is to Bleach the whole mat. Wash it to remove any traces of bleach and then to dye it in the colour of your choice. We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0
