Have brought my dress - went for a dress off preloved.com tried it on the other week and going to pick it up sometime this week. Also got transport nearly sorted - having a weekday wedding is cutting costs. Working out what is best to do next I'm guessing photographer and food next and started to think about favours- really want something a little difficult but am getting a little stumped on ideas!

I'm biting the bullet and off dress shopping again on Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

I've been pressing my nose against a few shop windows but I haven't tried anything on yet.

Dress: is on the white rosebridal page, look under the White rose collection, style R531REDWHITE. Can't post the link as I am a newbie. I am sure from my post earlier, you can work out which one I will be in...!

As we don't know which venue we will be holding the ceremony in, we have decided to explore Plan c into operation and spoke to the Registrar's office in the area we are hoping to marry, they have been really helpful and I am seriously less stressed about it now.

Have confirmed photographer, florist, cake, marquee, venue styling for marquee, celidh band, piper and groomsmans attire. Have also agreed menu and budget for food with hotel and have booked to go in February to discuss drinks and how much they will charge us for the hire of the necessary catering equipment to go into the marquee. We have sorted out our venue stationary (table names/table plan) but I can't organise the invitations until we have a venue! Could be a nail biter...

Slipping into bridezilla mode though, I am cross with my MOH who has decided that she wants her partner to propose to her at OUR wedding...! I might have to have a rant on the 'I'm a bridezilla and my confession is...' board about that one!

Just need to get into serious saving mode now to pay for it!

Ahhh I have a similar proposal situation with one of my bms although thankfully they have not threatened to do it at my wedding - I feel for to with that one I'd be bridezilla and then some!

Sounds like you have got loads done now though well done :-) I'm gonna have a nosey at you dress in a mo too :-)

I'm happy to report u have found my dress and will be ordering it in the next couple of weeks! Hurrah !

Hurrah! Pics/ link if you can - that's fabulous news! I hope you found mine - I love it.
I guess we had quite a bit done thinking we would be doing it this year, only a couple of suppliers haven't been able to accommodate us moving it back a year. I think OH was a bit relieved as it did give us the time to save up a bit more, though it has meant that I am doing more 'bits shopping' than I intended to!
MOH - hasn't been really involved with any of the planning since she started seeing this guy, weekends are now out of bounds as she is too busy (he works away during the week - understandable that she wants to spend time with him, but it isn't as though this has just happened!). I think I might need to have a chat to her about it. I would be really happy for her if they did decide to get engaged, but I would hope that she could keep the announcement away from the wedding day itself.

ohh I can now join in here, im getting married on the 3rd after 15 years engagement lol, we decided that since we have already commited ourselves to one life sentence we may aswell do it again ;p

Not been on here much for the last few weeks as keep getting bogged down with school work and colds and flu! 3 weeks to half term and then I can do some more planning!
