  • I tried some dresses on! Hurrah! None of them felt like they were 'the one' but It was fun making a start. I am however trying a stunning dress a week on Monday. Its Justin Alexander 8465 and every time I see a pic of it my heart flutters. Its a beauty!

It is! Absolutely stunning, and I'm very hard to impress with wedding dresses! I hope it suits you :)

  • So we went to see the new wedding car today and we loved it so have paid the deposit and hopefully nothing will go wrong. I also saw a lady who makes all her own jewellery and loved one of the tiaras and some of the earrings and she does home visits for free so will probably be getting in touch with her!

Trying to think what I've got left to do. I think it's
    Men's suits
    My accessories and shoes
    Flowers
    Venue decoration
Making the invitations although I have designed them!

I LOVED it! I was secretly hoping it wouldn't suit me because its a not-very-mse £400 over my dress budget. Its so pretty though and gives me a great figure. I didn't want to take it off!

Im going to do some thinking (and serious adding up).

So my SO and I have pretty much decided on an August wedding. Now I have no idea where to start! We're only looking at a very small affair, just family...we're not party-social types but still...we want it to be a memorable day!
    It's all so confusing :p
  • emmalouise81 - I too loved that dress and tried it on several times before deciding it wasnt as flattering on me as I'd have liked it to be. Breathed a sigh of release as it was over my budget too then ended up with a different Justin A that was actually more.

The 8465 is stunning though and I see them on ebay/ other preloved websites all the time for about £600. Would that be more in your budget?
    Becoming Mrs L. Aug 2013!

    Lost so far - 14lbs

  • If I go for the dress I do think I'll buy a used one. I've been thinking about it and I really can't go that much over budget. I'm going to try on a few more first though just to make sure it is the one. If I do chose another dress it's likely to be another JA. His dresses are stunning!

Hi ladies, how's everyone getting on?
Just over 7 months to go and I've actually had a successful week! Appointed my bridesmaids at Christmas and actually managed to get their dresses this week (in the sale too ;) ) also got some more bits like jewellery, and stuff for the tables in the sales and currently working on the bridesmaids bouquets, oh and ordered the wedding cake topper and last of the stationery. Think now it's actually 2013 I'm a biy more motivated!

    Hello

I also ordered my bm dresses last week (and got to try my dress on again hee hee).

The guest list is pretty final yet, but I can't start the invites until I know the menu choices, so i can put the choice cards in the invitations! I have emailed the venue about it but nothing back yet.

All I've got left are the invites, the flowers, the menswear and the actual sevice itself! (I think) lol

We saw our caterer before Christmas so ticked that one off too - but we're not giving people a menu choice ;)
Invites are designed but nothing physically printed - hoping to get that sorted in a few weeks when H2B has a week off work (he's the art director around here bless him!)
I tried my dress on the other day (have it at home already) with the accessories I have so far and the shoes etc and then my intercom buzzed - nearly had the fright of my life but luckily the postman only needed letting in the building door and didn't have a package fro me or he would've thought I was mad!
