Glad to see you're all still going ..... I'm afraid I got sidetracked with the devastating loss of my "bucket boy". His loss is being felt in so may ways but will also have an impact on my wastage long term as he always got the ends of things in his dinner.
I have been reasonably good up to now - but have also now hit the same problem as others ie the freezers are full! (Hopefully should help reduce the grocery bill a bit for a while).
Great to know the thread will be continuing. I will def be giving it another bash in the new year but need to try to get my head together atm.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Just sorted the cupboards and fridge after doing the weekly shop and have had to bin about 4 slices of rock hard bread, 1 satsuma and a banana . Now even though that's still food in the bin its a massive improvement on this time last year when all sorts got chucked away.
I am determined to not throw anything away this week - so there!0 -
@ risingfromtheashes, so sorry to hear about bucket boy. My condolences are with you, I dread the day when ours goes too
I also need to add 69p for fresh broccoli that had grown furry when I unwrapped it last night. Total now 4.66, and resolved to use frozen next time.0 -
Please can I ask a silly question? Are your potatoes peeled with a peeler (or does this make them too thin) or with a knife (so they are a bit thicker). I'm going to try them later on today!!£2 Savers Club 2018 No 18:)0

Hi
I have some scallops that need using up but I don't fancy them the way I normally have them, pan fried with spices & red onion.
Any idea's of how I could cook them? To make things harder recipie wise we don't eat pasta, rice, potatoes or bread
Any help would be great.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0
