You said no puddings but what about eggy bread (or french toast) soak the slices in beaten egg and a little cream then fry slowly in butter and oil and serve dusted with icing sugar or a sprinkle of maple syrup? I add a little citrus zest to the eggy mixture to give it a little extra something. Or skip the sweet bits and serve it with bacon on top as a bacon sarni with a differenceSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Get some chickens - they're very fond of well-soaked stale bread with a handful of oats. DEFRA probably wouldn't like it, but my girls do & they lay very well.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Thanks for all the ideas folks!
Much appreciated - I'll run them past OH.
I think I'd do them all at home, but a lot of your suggestions don't sell (he's tried!) - although the idea of a chicken coop behind the 2nd freezer is a good one! LOL. He operates out of a Centre, so no opportunities to use space other than his own iykwim.
Thanks
