You can freshen it up by wetting the crust and bunging in lowish oven for about 15 / 20 mins
You have to use it fresh & warm once out of oven or it goes stale rapidlyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

I made cheese toasties today for us all using bread that went out of date on the 28th. Its fine to use out of date bread, will make a bread and butter pudding with the rest of the bread I have left.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

stale bread is best for toasting - but what about bread and butter pudding? if you like it? otherwise - you can whizz it up for breadcrumbs and keep them in freezer (handy for stuffings or coating scotch eggs or fishcakes) or even to use with cheese on baked pasta dishes.0

I always use my stale bread to make homemade chicken nuggets... Get a piece of chicken breast, cut into chunks, dip it in egg, then in the breadcrumbs...and then I just panfry it in a small amount of oil! Lovely.0
