My flatmate's on a P4u cashback deal and he's had no problems so far. He's read the MSE.com threads negatively commenting on P4u's cashback and thinks that most people's cashback problems can be avoided by sending the paperwork in by Special Delivery since the #1 excuse given by these dealers is not receiving paperwork in time.0

Just make sure you know that phones4u.co.uk will not accept number ports to Vodafone (or O2) for website sales0 -

If ordering by phone, would phones4u do the same deals as the website sales?0 -
The phone deals are sort of between the in-store and online deals in terms of value, but I think that they would be more willing than an in-store salesman to match the website's deals over the phone, so if you prefer to deal with a real person while making the purchase you could try that.0

I have remembered that Phones4U used to have a scheme where if you had a credit card they would debit £59 off your card and they credit it back. you could then have a mobile contract phone without a FULL credit check?
Has anyone done this with them?
Thanks

nope ...
how long ago did they use to do this?0 -
yes i got one th eother day using this method. Although I took it back because I've heard since then of their terrible CS.0

They used this method when I got a contract a few weeks ago, however the amount they debited and then credited was only £1.
Carphone WH did exactly the same afer I'd returned my phone to Phones 4 U and cancelled the contract within the 14 days because they'd somehow forgotten to tell me that the 3 contract was virtually worthless because of the poor network coverage. Only when I finally returned the phone did they admit that several other people had experienced the same problems. I won't be going to them again.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0
