Does anybody know what they mean by the following
"To qualify for your Chequeback, you must:
-
- Have a live contract with the network you were connected to at the time you purchased your qualifying contract handset and tariff "
You are interpreting it wrong. To qualify for the chequeback (when you send the paperwork - bills and voucher), your contract must still be live (active) with the network you were connected to at the time you purchased your qualifying contract (obviously stay on the same network), and tariff (don't change your tariff otherwise it will void the chequeback).
Hope that makes sense. Basically, keep everything the same throughout your contract period, otherwise the retailer will find ANY way to void your claim.0 -

Actually I'd be more worried that it could be interpreted you still need to be connected when you make your final claim - i.e. longer than 12 months. In either case this is in direct conflict with the 12 month free on a 12 month contract and I don't think a court of law would interpret in any sinister way. If/when I go with this bunch (I'm not convinced by them for other reasons!) that part wouldn't put me off. Nowadays more than ever before with cashback deals I believe you have to be prepared to go to court at some point if necessary and prepare accordingly from day one. That's assuming there's someone there to sue when and if the time comes...0

Thanks for the replies. I think im going to go with them seeing as they seem to have the most lenient terms for 12 months free at this point in time (60 days to claim is pretty damn good). Considering the fact that they are also a heavily invested company, with high street stores to boot, at least there should be someone there to sue if things go wrong0

Sensible; ALL these companies are now liars and cheats (strong words but true, unfortuantely) so it is wise to prepare for the potential necessary action from the start to cover yourself. Copies and records of everything etc.0

As mobilejunkie quite rightly said, be prepared to take them to court if you decide to take this offer.ummm...0 -
From the terms Also I cant see if they require original bills or copies, the state the original claim form is required and this form is sent within the first 30 days (separate from the phone!).
As mobilejunkie quite rightly said, be prepared to take them to court if you decide to take this offer.
Does anyone know if they are usually reliable enough at sending out the claim form? I ordered on 7/8/07 and have not recieved one yet, I guess I will have to phone them in the morning!

I'd strongly suggest you log each time you call them (ideally on a phone where the number will be itemised on your bill) so you can prove that you made numerous efforts to get them to send the claim form. Maybe even post a letter recorded.ummm...0
