If you can use the license for two computers, then there is no reason not to install the same disc you used earlier. The starter edition is limited in its use and gives you ads for the real thing.katies_mum wrote: »HI, please can anyone advise? don`t want to delete something that might be ok...but can use the Microsoft office professional on two computers. I really hate having to do stuff like this with a passion! wish I had been taught `computers etc` at school. Thanks4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . HI
I didn`t get it on disc its done as a download, when I was trying to load this on the desktop Take That posted some links earlier in this topic to remove installed programs and then install this new one. I was wondering if this is what I should do on the new laptop. I`m getting myself in a bit of a dither here as not quite sure whether to do it that way or use the link from software4students (didn`t use this last time). Sorry to be so confusing.0 -
Have you still got the downloaded file? if so copy it across to the laptop, if not then download it again either from s4s or from TakeThis' link. After loading it you can (if necessary) remove the starter edition from control panel/programs4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I am now set up on the laptop, think I`ll download it from the earlier link as it was quite easy to do (can`t seem to find the download on the desktop!!! ) then I`ll be back...many thanks.0

Did you also download the extra software that s4s were giving away with this. I lost the link for mine, but emailed them, and was given another link to download the freebies. I got my Office pro on disk btw.Oh well...

I bought the Pro plus version last year, and it shows the free learning suite software on the page, so still available.

Sorry to sidetrack slightly, but just for the record it is currently slightly cheaper to buy this software from rm.com/thebasement
But also do be aware that it may be even cheaper to buy direct from your child's school. I recently purchased windows 7 ultimate and office 2010 direct through a school for £15 each. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
I rebuilt a PC yesterday using Windows and MS Office purchased from software4students a while back. I've used them several times.
If we're going for the "I can get it cheaper" brag, then I got MS Office Professional Plus for £8.95 from the Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP), which my employer is a member of.0
