is there anybody there. I am sorry to bother

You are not bothering anyone. I have only just read this thread and think you are being extremely courageous, with everything you have been through. You have taken the first step to sort things out and you are in the right place. There are plenty of wonderfully supportive people on here to point you in the right direction. Don't give up hope, things will get better. One step at a time.

Hi Messed Up, I just wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you. I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what you have been through, but you certainly aren't letting anyone down.

Yes, I think people do go through phases with their debts, sometimes you feel really motivated, and the balances seem to be going down nicely, then at other times you get really fed up with it all, and it seems like so much effort. Posting on here is a great release in moments like that, the people are so supportive, and there is usually someone else who is in a similar position financially, who can relate to what you are feeling

Please don't be so hard on yourself, it worries me that someone like you can possibly think you are evil - very few people in the world are truly evil, and I'm sorry but running up a bit of debt doesn't qualify you. :o I'm not meaning to sound glib about it though, as I can tell how much it hurts you that you are in this position.

I haven't much financial advice to add to that which has already been given, but I just wanted to add my support. Please look after yourself and find comfort in your lovely family, and do keep posting.

    Love Snaggles xxx

Hey MU, I'm pretty new on the forums but have already found what a fantastic family you join on here who are there for support and advice or even just virtual hugs :grouphug: whenever you need it. I'm no expert (I have my own debts which I'm trying to deal with!) but like everyone else am here even if you just want someone to listen.

I am going to focus on paying it drip drip drip for now.... I am not a materialistic person and so therefore I dont overspend...

    ...

I am not too sure how I will get on...the interest will no doubt crucify me mentally...if it does then I will phone payplan.....Thankyou so much to all of you..

You seem reluctant to contact a company like CCCS or Payplan which I can understand, however I really urge you not to wait and get in contact with them as soon as you can. I can see you're already concerned about the interest and they may be able to get this frozen or at least reduced. If so the sooner that happens, the sooner you'll have more money to tackle the debt itself rather than paying interest.

My only other tip is keep writing on here - use this thread as your debt diary and track everything you do towards your debt, even if it's just how you're feeling about it, even on the good days. Then when you have your low days at least you can read back and take encouragement from your own words aswell as support from everyone else.

Oh and don't think you're bothering people, because you're not - we're all here to help where/when we can! :D

All the best and take care of yourself xxxx

Hope you are OK MU. I'm a little concerned that you obviously wanted to talk but have gone now. I hope it is just that you had to go and see to something and not that you are sitting there in tears feeling like you can't talk to us.

We are good listeners if nothing else!

  • Hi MU. And Tam. So sorry was not here. Please Keep on posting. If the only way we can help is by talking then we are all here. trust us please. If we are not here straight away we will be along very soon. Really we will. Outside that black hole you think you are in believe me there is a whole wide world out there. And i tell you something, without this site and the many new friends i have found on here i would not be here today. I have done the sleeping pill thing twice = 2 nervous breakdowns, nothing compared to you babe. I thought i had nowhere to turn until i came across MSE. Best thing that ever happened to me. If i knew where you were i would be in my car right now to give you a big hug. Mind you thinking of the folk on here i would probably have to hire a coach. Now come on girl. Do you honestly have 52 coffee mugs in your house and enough chocolate biscuits to feed an army in your house. If not best start thinking about it now. Please dont be in tears. one thing i learned if nothing else is that crying is good but not productive. If it were this site would be no use to man nor beast. Its because of this site i have been able to move on from my broken marriage and sorting my debts outs. Tell you something kidder. Would rather have the debts any day rather than the slime ball dickless wonder i had of a husband. wahey. Got my sense of humour back as well . anyway sweetie. Going to bed now. Please let us know your ok tomorrow. And night night to everyone else who is still up. love you all lots xxxxxxxxxxxx
