Hi MU, have you spoken to someone at CCCS about the best way forward for you? If not, give them a call, they may be able to give you some helpful info that can help you work things out to the best advantage.
In the meantime, stay strong, the amount you have paid off already is worthy of praise so be proud of that. And look after yourself, you will do yourself no favours if you get exhausted.

Hello everyone! I have been reading every day here but have not posted.
I would like to update you as I have been to the bank today and having spoke with the bank last week of how their overdraft system online aided my debt.
anyways today the bank have offered me a loan over 9 years. They are sending me the paperwork in the post and need it returned asap for everything to coincide.
If you read my first post you will know how much debt I am in, I could afford to hammer it down but at a cost to my health.
The bank have offered to cover my c card overdrafts and loan totalling 25400 over 9 years at 10percent interest repayment 348pcm.
I am at the moment paying 18apr on most of the debts....a huge almost 300 interest a month ....
Would you think this is a good way to go .... bearing in mind I am not a spendaholic I had one problem that led to this mess. They are cancelling my c card odrafts etc....said I could continue banking with them the same way and I can make overpayments .
It would leave me with 400 to 500 disposable income pcm...which I would obviously save or overpay with...
Please advice would be welcome....I am on early shift tmw so will be in bed early.....
thankyou xxxxx
3 people from different sections of the bank have told me to complain and that it was disgraceful to have been allowed to aquire 2 large overdrafts in the space of seconds
Hope you are all well x0 -
Hi messedup - you sound quite a bit more positive in your recent post :j
If my bank made me that offer I would definitely take them up on it BUT make sure you can't start spending again, otherwise you will find yourself in the same position in a couple of years time! Also, if you can make overpayments, the 9 years might become 4 or 5 - even better.
GOOD LUCKDMP starts June 2012, £38,180.
Balance June 2015 £26,046 (paid off 32%)

:hello:
I have just read your thread and replying belatedly. (had a poorly baby for the last 3 days)
I hope your feeling better now after you have now let out your problems rather than bottling it all up. You seem a little more positive.
From the offer the bank as made you its not the best offer but is certainly better than what your paying now and it does leave you in a better to position to overpay. Have you checked to see if you can overpay the loan or will you have to save and pay it of in one go?
I have no idea how you would go about complaining, CAB may be able to give you good advice. Personally i would, what have you got to lose apart from the cost of a stamp or 2?You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Thx .... I think its a good offer I certainly wont go spending I never was a spender. I am real cross with myself still......... hopefully if I can save again I will feel better.I must learn never to look at the losses it meks me very very sad............
I am sending my love to everyone xx
Also does anyone know how to lodge a complaint to TSB
no more credit card wooooohooooooooooo no more ODs ...guess I should count my blessings xx0 -
so would you or wouldnt you.....if you look what I have now and what I have been offered and BEAR in mind that I am as thrifty as my dad who was but a warchild...LOL0
-
I can send overpayments or go to the branch and pay...I do not intend to keep this for 9 years....hopefully........... I think given the circumstances the interest rate is fairly OK ...but then I get cross with the bank again .......... I mite bank with my barclays account now and complain like theres no tmw to TSB....I am wondering why they are being so accomodating0

personally i would do it. It makes your financial situation better than it was. but most importantly it will also ease your stress which is far more important at this minute in time. If you can overpay do so if not its not a biggy. Also you could set youself a mini challenge to day pay it off for 2013 thats 6 years not 9. Not long really is it.You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
