I think MU that this is absolutely the best thing for you at the moment - it is unsecured so even if things do go wrong, your house is not at risk, and you are back in control again.

The rate is fine - you can overpay, or stash money away to pay off early etc and it is at an affordable monthly amount, so day to day living is not as difficult as it has been recently.

Hopefully this will give you the "space" that you need to get on with your life - never forgetting the past, good, bad and indifferent, but allowing you to move on with your family to new, good things.

Remember, you are in control now - this is no longer controlling you xx

Hi Everyone..... Hope you're all OK and keeping your chins up....

I wanted to ask a question, this is the last time I will use this post to post on.I will start a new one next time so you dont have to trawl thru it.

I have got my loan now, and feel devastated inside about things still, but I am grateful .

Anyway I recieved an email and a form from the financial ombudsman to put a complaint in with Lloyds about irresponsible lending etc (I asked 4 times for my overdrafts to be zeroed through phone bank etc....

My question is I still bank with Lloyds as I find them otherwise OK and have used them for years, they have recently sorted me out in a big way, however I am by law entitled to complain (I dont like complaining , I just find it astounding they could lend so much online and through loans . Do they have any right to shut my bank account down once they recieve my complaint.

Can anyone help.........I would hate to add more stress to my situation...

    thankyou once again......

Hi MU, Just wanted to say  good to see you back here.

My advice re Lloyds is; please do not think you have to be loyal to the bank, its their job to make as much money from people as possible and dare I say exploit vulnerable people when they need support not seeing it as a money making opportunity.

If possible I would set up another account with someone else just for piece of mind.

Complain away and good luck XX

Good luck with your complaint. It real is time that banks were more responsible lenders. I know people argue that you can always say no but sometimes you can't and they need to be accountable. Good luck xx

So sorry to hear your serious health news. All the very best for getting through the op and treatment successfully.
I think you need to tell the lenders what is going on ASAP and also check with outfits like the CAB about where you stand. Why not post your budget here - people may be able to advise and this is also the kind of information other people will need to be able to help you.
    Thinking of you.
