Thx so much Hypno...your posts have always been a strength to me xxx My head is dizzy with worry...but I will see what tsb have to say...And then start from there...I know I wont be upto anything soon...I am well cross this has happened...and my boys are my driving force.....debts were nothing in reality ...altho they are now...cos i gotta feed my boys and if my wage drops what if the bank rob off me and i cnat feed them
It won't come to that. It is understandable that your head is dizzy - with all sorts of worry. None of us, however strong we seem, would be any different. And of course you are angry. Things should not be like this. But they are, and they test our strength when they happen. The positive is that you know you have the strength to deal with it and you can draw on that.
One day at a time, one step at a time. Ring the banks in the morning, and if you do not get the answer you need or want, then ring again and speak to someone else.
I won't be on here much longer tonight because I am very tired after a long weekend, but I hope to see you posting something positive in the next day or so, once you have spoken to the various bods.
In the meantime, there is not much practical stuff you can do, so go get yourself a hug and get a few hours rest xxxxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Oh, and remember something that has been posted here before - your health is so much more important than the debts.
Concentrate on getting yourself well again - the money side of things will get sorted.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

messed up I am sooo sorry to read your news! what a shock for you.
someone has already mentioned Macmillan nurses. in our area they have established a money advice service linked to social services. even just help with travelling expenses to hospital for treatments can be helpful.x x x0 -
Morning MU, I am glad that you have spoken to the loan people and to your boss. Now that they all know the situation, you cannot be accused of holding info back, or failing to keep them informed etc.
Now that the finances are starting to sort themselves, you must must must concentrate on yourself. If working 10 hr shifts is too much right now, arrange to reduce, or work flexi time or something - I don't think your boss can refuse given the circumstances.
And make sure you eat properly....and get some sleep.......
Keep posting and let us know how things are - good, bad or indifferent xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Perhaps now is the time to open up a "parachute" account with someone you don't owe money to (be careful that some banks own others), and get your wages paid in to there.
Then they can't be touched.
