Thankyou so much hypno....you are extremely thoughtful...I thought people may have forgotten me...or that I had dissappeared....I have been really struggling all year I guess with the thought of the Odrafts being recalled in August...bin like a timebomb........
I will be on this site everyday as ever.....and I will certainly let you know how I am getting on with the TSB....
I am gagging for my breather from this slightly.....and then I will be stronger and in a better position xxx0 -
I would welcome any address I can complain to....my fear is that I will become despondent...with the complaint...but it is necessary if not to get it out of my system.......... I am a very pensive person...0

I would complain BIG TIME to the bank, get support from a professional if you can (I find having my friendly MP send letters to the big organizations works wonders!). Keep posting, we are all here to support you and give yourself a big hug from us all every day.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

If you want to overpay then check their Ts & Cs about overpayment penalties. Make sure you're not taking payment protection. Don't get anymore credit. (dont think you'll be doing that last one
)
Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
Hi Messedup
Just caught your thread and read (some of) it...will work through it all tomorrow when I am not so tired. However, I am so glad you are more positive now than the first few posts...what a difference a few months make. Good for you on perservering.
One question...the loan your bank has offered you...is it secured on your home? I just wonder whether, if it is, you could get a better rate or perhaps push for an unsecured loan at that rate. Just something to think about - but I do understand why, for you, this is a positive option.0 -
Hi
It is unsecured, I do not have a mortgage at present. They did ask if I would like to put it in a mortgage.0 -
Do you think it is an ok rate, bearing in mind my northern rock is 9.9
my total debt repayments for 9 yrs pcm would be 130 northern rock and 348 pcm lloyds.... I will of course make overpayments X0 -
I am not taking payment protection and the overpayment will reduce the length of the loan not the repayment...so I may even pack the overpayments away in a saver....if I sat down to think about how reckless I have been right down to the last bean I would be broken up....onwards and upwards........knowing my luck something else will fly at me ....
I am waiting for the paperwork in the post.....I still see myself as lucky and the bank have been good although they just want their money back obviously....0 -
and BTW ....... I do hope my post helps others and warns of the spiral of destruction started by one dark moment ......... I exhausted everything...I am extremely lucky to have the strength and see the light.
God Bless you all xx0 -
