This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Phone them, check and make sure you find out what the rate is. Have a word with them and tell them you're in difficulties, it may help.0

You may get someone more helpful this time.0

she said she couldnt tell me because the way its worked out is complex. I am very upset , she said it was right! I asked to speak to someone elses and she wouldnt let me. I tried the balance transfer threat this morning and it didnt work.

Absolute BS
If the advisor cant ( or more like WONT) tell you what the APR annual is, then Id tell them you are going to report them to the FSA. financial products must be transparent. Id phone back and play hardball. this is YOUR money, you have every right to know what you are being charged.
Who is this CC with? Someone may know? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

It is with lloyds tsb . she told me the apr is 16.6 apr.
It is 1.385 for purchases and 2.075 for cash
can someone please please work it out, I have just had to phone my OH I am distraught if its going to cost 148 a month in intterst.
BTW she was a very very nasty woman. I will nevr bank with them after this. She said it was likely to be more than 148 but then admitted it was too complex to work out.0 -
Even when I had 40k in the bank they were harrassing me to put it into scottish widdows for 7 years ...very callous people. I cant get anymore credit at the mo so a lower rate card is out of the question. If it wasnt for the interest on these debts I would be able to throw 1000 a month at it0

hi Messed up - apologises for late post but i have just finished reading through your thread.
You must stop beating yourself up about the debt - there are people - me included who have same debt levels as you but have been through no where near the amount of trauma and grief that you have.
I would def get yourself to a doctors and let them help you with the mental anquish you are going through - your not an evil person. Owing money does not make you a bad person! You have to deal with your anxiety to allow yourself the mental state of feeling that you have simply made a mistake! thats all this is!!!!!
I would recommend you call the cccs - they can offer you solutions where you pay off everything you owe but simply over a longer term. Also they stop interest, thus reducing the length of time it will take. They are a fantastic company and will not judge you - you may even find that because of your circumstances there is something more they can do to help you.
When everything gets to you remember this - "just because i have failed, does not make me a failure." i find it really helps.
Keep posting and remember live is worth living - its just money!!!!
All the luck in the world coming your way.....xxxx0 -
Hi MU
I really can't see where they've got that interest sum from from a balance of £5459
In the worst case scenario of the entire amount owed being cash advances it should come out at £114 but if its all for purchases then it should be £76.
Looking at £8310 with the same interest rates you would be looking at £173 if it was all cash advances & £116 if it was all purchases so it looks like thats the sum theyre calculating on & you've got a mixture of purchases & cash advances.0 -
Thanks SS thats what I thought in the end, there is no way it is 148 for the balance outstanding.Ive had a really bad day bcos of this, mainly due to the TSB card service woman being extremely unhelpful and harsh.
The thing is I have another whole month stressing until I see the interest at worse. My debt wont get any higher unless needs be. I am in for a rough time, as long as the bairns dont go without thats all that matters. Its the ifs buts and maybes and what I could have done for them if onky I hadnt been so reckless and uncontrollabke.
I am going through the worst feelings.I am trying to draw lines under it. Thank god I have a week off.
Thanks once again0
