  • Hello Everyone

Well I have moved etc so it is a little stressy at the mo however nothing compares with the stress of owing so much money.

I need to ask you a question and need an answer please because I am feeling exstremely sick.

I had my c c statement this morning, the amount of damage I have done is untold.

my monthly interest are 1.385 for cash
    2.07 for purchases

My new balance is 5459 HOWEVER, the new transactions and charges are 8310. The estimated interest for nxt month is 148. I NEED to know is that interest calculated on the new trans and charges OR my balance of 5459 which I now owe. I will die if it is for the new balance....PLEASE PLEASE answer me ... I am hopeless I have always paid my cc in full

    THANKYOU

    Hi there
Right the interest will be the total balance. Did you really spend 3k last month on it? Is it right?

You mention charges, what sort of charges, are they things like exceeding your limit?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • There are no charges on my account, Its just the balance is 5459 ...thats what I owe. 8310 did go thru my account at one stage or another paid in paid out etc. I never webt over my limit.

Is the estimated interest an automated result for the 8310

I didnt estimate my interest for 5459 to be a whopping 148 quid.It doesnt sound right at all.

    thanks
  • God I am really sad , I have let my boys down bigtime whichever way I view it....I am in tears again

  • Thankyou

Could anyone answer my question, I do not want to be paying 148 interest every month .... will it be double that next month I havent a clue...
  • it does sound strange - we pay that much interest on a credit card with nearly 12,000 on it - phone them and check but i suppose it depends on the rates
  • I did phone then this morning but she was really nasty with me and I quaked. I think I will phone again. I just dont understand credit cards and I have got myself into a right mess. If anyone else can answer ....and also do they double te interst every month you dont pay from the date of transaction

PLease, please try not to distress yourself.

ONe thing you might want to try is calling your CC co and saying " Ive had an offer of a low life of balance, wondered, can you match it"

If your credit rating is good, having never missed apayment I bet its OK, they might well agree to this, which will help.

Yes, its a lie, but it has worked for me and many others among us :)
